It was been a dramatic turnaround for Kolkata Knight Riders as their IPL campaign has gone south following five straight defeats three of them at home. From being early favourites to make the playoffs, the former two-time champions are now struggling to save their season.

Such has been the morale of the outfit that few of their players including captain Dinesh Karthik went to Mumbai to take some time off and return with a better mindset to resurrect the campaign.

Their latest opponents Rajasthan Royals aren’t faring any better. Currently they are at the eighth spot in the points table with three wins and seven defeats so far.
