The last round of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2014 brings up the David v Goliath contest. With Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) cementing their place at the top and Delhi Daredevils (D) already confirmed of their second successive wooden spoon finish, this clash has been rendered a dead rubber.

Everything has gone right for Punjab, from the auctions to the last match against Rajasthan. Virender Sehwag has provided some cameos at the start, but the M&M show (Maxwell and Miller) has simply reduced each and every opposition to tatters. Add the talented Manan Vohra, the plucky Wriddhiman Saha, and the finishing abilities of skipper, George Bailey, there is no reason why this team can’t go all the way.

For Delhi, it has been an abysmal run as they have lost some close games and have been outclassed in all departments in others.
