Umpire Rod Tucker made two mistakes in two balls during an eventful first over by Mohammad Hafeez. Craig Simmons was adjudged out when replays showed the batsman not hitting the ball. Sam Whiteman, then was adjudged not out after clearly edging the ball. In what seemed a bizarre consequence of events, Tucker consulted leg umpire Billy Bowden after Hafeez seemed to have picked two in two. Tucker hadn’t seen it, and Bowden too wasn’t sure, but both umpires didn’t refer to the TV umpire.

Lahore Lions can still qualify for the semis if they win this game by 47 runs to spare.
