Lendl Simmons was looking to explode against the Rajasthan Royals (RR) bowling attack and looked really dangerous but has been done in by Ankit Sharma. However, slow motion replays revealed that he was actually done in by poor umpiring as he got a healthy portion of the bat to the ball before going on to hit his pad. Soon after his wicket, Mumbai Indians lost Unmukt Chand giving Rajasthan Royals the clear upper-hand. Tim Southee, who was earlier denied Simmons wicket by way of dropped catch from Sanju Samson, finally got his due by dismissing Chand with a short ball.

Earlier, Rajasthan Royals won the toss and put Mumbai Indians in to bat. A win will be crucial for the homeside’s — Mumbai Indians — chances to stay alive in the competition. Even RR will be desperate for a positive result after a couple of washed out games.
