Hello and Welcome to CricketCountry’s coverage of the ninth place play-off quarter-final match between Afghanistan and Fiji  in the ICC Under-19 World Cup at the Sheikh Kamal International Cricket Stadium Academy Ground, Cox’s Bazar on Friday. Afghanistan were stunned in their very first encounter as they lost the battle to Pakistan and then to Sri Lanka in their next fixture. But somehow they made a comeback in their game against Canada and finally registered their first victory of the tournament. Fiji endured three massive defeats in their fixtures so far as a result of which Afghanistan are the favourites going into this game. Fiji lost their all three games to England, Zimbabwe and West Indies. They will be hoping to end the tournament on a winning note and grab a victory under their belt. Afghanistan will be aiming to wreck more agony on their opponents by winning this encounter.
Both teams are no longer in strife to win the tournament but have a lot at stake going as the look to end the tournament with a to their names.
