Last few weeks have been really good for Bangladesh cricket team. 2014 was harsh, somewhat rude towards the Bangladeshis. They could only manage to win two games out of the 27 they played in the calendar year. Zimbabwe’s tour of Bangladesh has helped the home team bring momentum and hope for the future. Bangladesh have won the first two Tests against Zimbabwe and also won the series. The last time they won a Test series was way back in 2009 when they had mauled West Indies at their home turf. Catch live scorecard and ball by ball commentary of the third Test between Bangladesh and Zimbabwe here.

Zimbabwe have not given it away in both the Tests, they have fought it out in an foreign land but unfortunately they have been nipped out by Bangladesh in few areas. Anyone could have won the first Test played at Mirpur but a valiant effort from the Bangladesh lower order saved the match for them. The second Test at Khulna gave Bangladesh a more comprehensive victory as the left out Zimbabwe by a margin of 162 runs. The final Test which starts which will be played at Chittagong from Wednesday will give Bangladesh an opportunity to complete series whitewash and it will also run in hopes among the Zimbabwe players to stand out and give a fight. Surprisingly, out of the 40 wickets the Bangladesh bowlers have picked so far in the first two Tests 36 batsmen have been dismissed by spin bowling.
