LIVE CRICKET SCORE: Dhaka Dynamites 117/8 in 20 Overs | BATTING: Mosharraf Hossain 3(6), Nabil Samad 3(4): What a topsy-turvy final four overs we got to witness! Malcolm Waller turns the game around with two sixes and a four in the 17th over by Sami to bring Dhaka back to their feet! Mosaddek reverse-sweeps Taijul for a six in the following over, making Dhaka favourites for a brief while, before the wily spinner dismisses both Waller and Mosaddek for Barisal to be favourites once again! The deal is pretty much sealed in the following over, with Yasir Shah getting caught by Mahmudullah off the bowling of Cooper for a duck, with Cooper taking his third wicket. Sami bowls a tight final over, in which Dhaka are left needing 20 off the last ball. With their supporters having left the stadium a long time back, Dhaka concede an 18-run loss in the eliminator for Barisal to setup a date with Rangpur in the second Qualifier! OUT! Malcolm Waller c Mehedi Maruf b Taijul Islam 18(10), Mosaddek Hossain 26(27), Yasir Shah c Mahmudullah b Kevon Cooper 0(2)
LIVE CRICKET SCORE: Dhaka Dynamites 82/5 in 16 Overs | BATTING: Mosaddek Hossain 17(22), Malcolm Waller 1(3):Nasir Hossain is perhaps the most crucial figure for the Dhaka Dynamites at the moment. It can therefore be safely assumed that his dismissal for 16 off Mahmudulla’s bowling is the biggest blow to Dhaka yet, and has made the Barisal Bulls outright favourites to win the contest now. OUT! Nasir Hossain c Mahmudullah b Al-Amin Hossain 16(18)
LIVE CRICKET SCORE: Dhaka Dynamites 52/4 in 10 Overs | BATTING: Nasir Hossain 4(6), Mosaddek Hossain 0(1): Reza moves to the 20s, before he edges an Al-Amin delivery to keeper Talukdar to depart for a run-a-ball 20, which unsettles the Dynamites after Raza and Sanga were looking to build a steady partnership. The pressure is back on the chasing side, who need another 87 runs to win from 11 overs, with the required run-rate just shy of the 8-per-over mark. OUT! Massive wicket for Barisal Bulls, as Al-Amin takes a simple return catch from Sanga, who gets a top-edge off a rising delivery. Dhaka lose their 4th wicket with just 52 runs on board, and their batting order is fast drying out of reliable figures. 84 needed off 60 now, with six wickets in hand. The RRR is above eight by now. OUT! Farhad Reza c Rony Talukdar b Al-Amin Hossain 20(20), Kumar Sangakkara c & b Al-Amin Hossain 10(14)
LIVE CRICKET SCORE: Dhaka Dynamites 33/2 in 6 Overs | BATTING: Farhad Reza 17(17), Kumar Sangakkara 0(0): Abul Hasan smashes a couple of boundaries down the ground towards long-off for a couple of boundaries, before getting a top-edge while trying a flick a delivery from Kevon Cooper pitched along leg. Chris Gayle collects a simple catch in the end as Dhaka lose their first wicket with just 13 on board. Farhad Reza announces himself at the centre with a massive six off the first ball of the fifth over. Mohammad Hafeez fails to last for long as he gets a top-edge will trying to pull the first ball of the fifth over, with Mehedi Maruf completing the catch this time. OUT! LIVE CRICKET SCORE: Barisal Bulls 135/5 in 20 Overs | BATTING: Rayad Emrit 9(10), Kevon Cooper 0(1): Barisal have struggled since the departure of Sabbir and Gayle. Mehdi Maruf is trapped leg-before wicket off the bowling of Mosharraf Hossain for a 12-ball 10. Mustafizur comes in to bowl the final over, and concedes two fours to Mahmudullah straight away! He however, gets the better of him with a full toss between middle and leg, that Mahmudullah mishits towards short-midwicket in the penultimate ball of the innings. Good final over from Mustafizur, ensuring that the Bulls don’t get to cross the 150-run mark.
LIVE CRICKET SCORE: Barisal Bulls 98/3 in 15 Overs | BATTING: Mahmudullah 14(17), Mehedi Maruf 6(9): Dhaka Dynamites get the prized-wicket of Sabbir Rahman, who falls nine short of his half-century. Comes down the track and attempts to smash Nabil Samad over long-off, but doesn’t get enough power on the shot. Mosaddek completes the catch near the boundary. OUT! Sabbir Rahman c Mosaddek Hossain b Nabil Samad 41(39)
LIVE CRICKET SCORE: Barisal Bulls 75/2 in 10 Overs | BATTING: Sabbir Rahman 38(34), Mahmudullah 1(1): As much as Gayle dominated in the first five overs, Rahman, who was struggling for the most part, manages to break the shackles to tear the opposition apart, including 18 off the sixth over! Rahman continues the carnage over the next four overs, before the Dhaka Dynamites manage to get the big breakthrough, with Mustafizur getting rid of Gayle with an inswinger that goes through the defence of the burly Jamaican! OUT! Chris Gayle b Mustafizur Rahman 31(19)
LIVE CRICKET SCORE: Barisal Bulls 35/1 in 5 Overs | BATTING: Chris Gayle 30(12), Sabbir Rahman 1(12): Dhaka draw first blood at the end of the first over, attempting to launch Nasir Hossain over long-on, but failing to get the distance. The ball lands safely in Malcolm Waller’s hands. Gayle however, gets into the act in the very next over, smashing two fours and a huge six over long-off to collect 16 off the second over! Gayle continues the massacre in the fourth over as well to move to the 30s in no time at all, smashing two fours and a six in the fourth over as well. Mustafizur is introduced into the attack in the fifth over, with Sabbir Rahman, who has been excruciatingly slow so far, getting off the mark with a single off the last ball. OUT! Rony Talukdar c Malcolm Waller b Nasir Hossain 4(6)
In the two matches that the Bulls and Dynamites have contested in the tournament so far, the former have emerged victorious in both contests. In the first encounter, Barisal chased the 159-run target set by Dhaka with nine wickets and eight balls to spare. Evin Lewis scored the only century of the tournament so far, remaining unbeaten on 101 while sharing a 127-run opening stand with wicketkeeper-batsman Rony Talukdar. The second game, which also happened to be the 30th and the final group match, was a more evenly-fought contest, with the Bulls trailing in the contest for the most part, and chances of victory were ruled out at one stage, before a brilliant cameo by Rayad Emrit got them past the finish line with two wickets and as many balls to spare.
