The last man to be dismissed was opener SS Mandal, who was dismissed by MP off-spinner Jalaj Saxena. Their two best batsmen, skipper Tiwary and stumper Wriddhiman Saha are at the crease and have an uphill task of saving the match ahead of them. Bengal still need an improbable 675 runs to win on the final day, while MP just need seven wickets to cruise into the semis.

Bengal skipper Manoj Tiwary is trying to add spice to the match by playing a quick cameo here. He has just hit two sixes in his innings of 23 not out and perhaps is making a statement over the IPL snub.

LIVE CRICKET SCORE Bengal 69/2 in 18 overs | Madhya Pradesh 560/9 dec in 160.3 overs  overs | Batting: SS Mandal 33(55), Sudip Chatterjee 0(0) : Bengal’s run-machine this season, Chatterjee has been dismissed by debutant Chandrakant Sakure. For that to happen, MP bowlers will have to bowl well to get the remaining nine Bengal wickets.

OUT! AR Eswaran ct Rajat Patidar b Ishwar Pandey 16(30)

LIVE CRICKET SCORE Bengal 28/0 in 7 overs | Madhya Pradesh 560/9 dec in 160.3 overs  overs | Batting: AR Eswaran 11(20), SS Mandal 16(12) : Bengal openers have made a steady start in their second innings. There’s only something for the MP bowlers in this game now, who will look for some valuable match practice ahead of the semi-final. For Bengal, it has been a disappointing day so far. None of its players including skipper Manoj Tiwary, spinner Pragyan Ojha and fast bowlers Ashoke Dinda and Veerpratap Singh have made it to the IPL, as they remained unsold in the player auction that is underway at the moment. It seems the bad luck from on the field has rubbed off on Bengal players.

LIVE CRICKET SCORE Bengal 9/0 in 2 overs | Madhya Pradesh 560/9 dec in 160.3 overs  overs | Batting: AR Eswaran 5(6), SS Mandal 4(6) : MP have finally declared their innings after a humongous lead. They have set a mountain of a target for Bengal, as the team from the East needs to get an improbable 788 on the fourth day. The declaration came after the centurion Harpreet Singh Bhatia was dismissed, triggering another quick wicket of tailender Ishwar Pandey. Bengal have started the proceedings, with their openers SS Mandal and AE Eswaran out in the middle.

OUT! HS Bhatia st Wriddhiman Saha b Pragyan Ojha 139(206), Ishwar Pandey ct Manoj Tiwary b Ashoke Dinda 0(5)

LIVE CRICKET SCORE Madhya Pradesh 551/7 in 158  overs | Batting: HS Bhatia 139(201),  Puneet Datey 8(38) : Nothing much to write about Madhya Pradesh’s batting during this phase of play. They continue to bat in the dull match, where the lead has stretched to 778 runs with Bengal’s second innings nowhere in sight. Harpreet continues to frustrate the Bengal bowlers with his 139 not out. Tailender Puneet Datey is giving good company to him.

LIVE CRICKET SCORE Madhya Pradesh 533/7 in 150  overs | Batting: HS Bhatia 130(183),  Puneet Datey 1(7) : The Madhya Pradesh juggernaut continues to move on, as they take the lead past 760 run-mark. The match is losing relevance, with the Madhya Pradesh captain not declaring and simply giving his batters more practice ahead of the Ranji Trophy semi-final. The hapless Bengal bowlers are sending down overs after over without any success, except for Ankit Sharma’s dismissal. Sharma departed after scoring 25 and adding 65 runs with Harpreet for the seventh wicket.

OUT! Ankit Sharma ct Wriddhiman Saha b Veerpratap Singh 25(54)

LIVE CRICKET SCORE Madhya Pradesh 524/6 in 146  overs | Batting: HS Bhatia 125(174), Ankit Sharma 25(51) : This is insane! MP simply refuse to declare. What are they doing here? The lead has crossed 750 run mark, but they continue to bat. Do not forget they had dismissed Bengal for a paltry 121 in the first innings. They could have easily gone for an outright win by declaring after a lead of over 500. But such negative tactics only kill the spirit of the game. Nobody will be impressed with this performance.

LIVE CRICKET SCORE Madhya Pradesh 502/6 in 142  overs | Batting: HS Bhatia 107(157), Ankit Sharma 19(39) : There’s no stopping MP as even after lunch they continue to pile runs in the match. Harpreet has brought in his second First-Class hundred and is still going strong. There was an anticipation that they might declare once Harpreet reaches his landmark. However, MP have chosen to add to the agony of Bengal team. Pragyan Ojha, who went unsold at the IPL auction earlier today, has bowled 35 overs so far and has conceded 162 runs. The other bowlers have been unimpressive as well.

LIVE CRICKET SCORE Madhya Pradesh 484/6 in 136  overs | Batting: HS Bhatia 94(143), Ankit Sharma 14(17) : The contest is being dragged on as the Madhya Pradesh reach 6 for 484 at lunch on the fourth day. With the humongous lead of 711 runs on board, they are still continuing with their innings. MP could easily have declared way earlier and given their bowlers a chance of an outright win. There is a chance that demoralized Bengal batsmen could have surrendered. But for now, we can only speculate whether MP declare after lunch or they wait for Harpreet Singh Bhatia’s hundred, who is batting on 94.

OUT! Ankit Dane ct Sayan Shekhar Mandal b A R Eswaran 69(104)

LIVE CRICKET SCORE Madhya Pradesh 408/5 in 119  overs | Batting: HS Bhatia 56(94), Ankit Dane 45(68) : Madhya Pradesh are in no mood to stop! The are compounding the problems of Bengal players, especially for their bowlers, who are toiling hard in the meaningless contest. What drives MP’s decision to continue with their innings is beyond comprehension. The match is losing its charm, as the match is being dragged on.

LIVE CRICKET SCORE Madhya Pradesh 367/5 in 111  overs | Batting: HS Bhatia 35(63), Ankit Dane 25(51) : Madhya Pradesh are further consolidating their position in the match. Despite having a healthy lead of 590 runs on the board, it is surprising that they are still dragging their innings. Remember this is the second last day of the match and they can easily have a shot at bowling the opposition out for an outright win.

LIVE CRICKET SCORE Madhya Pradesh 341/5 in 104  overs | Batting: HS Bhatia 21(40), Ankit Dane 14(33) : Madhya Pradesh have out-batted their opposition in the match and are further consolidating their position. They lead by 568 runs at the moment and are all set to walk into the semi final on the basis of first innings lead, of course unless if they do not win it today.
