GL are coming winning huge match against Rising Pune Supergiants (RPS) chasing a huge mammoth total of 195. As for KXIP, they are in a need of a win and will be aiming for one on Sunday. All in all, it promises to be a cracker of contest as both teams boast of T20 superstars who can turn the game on its head. New Zealand swashbuckler Brendon McCullum and West Indian Dwayne Smith have been key to Lions’ success as they have given superb starts at the top of the order. Skipper Suresh Raina and Dinesh Karthik too have done reasonably well with the bat and scored useful runs whenever the team has needed. However, two all-rounders — local boy Ravindra Jadeja and Dwayne Bravo — have not done much with the bat and the skipper Raina would expect them to lend some stability to the lower middle order.
David Miller has managed to score only 76 runs in 6 matches, while Maxwell has a mere 95 from six games to show for. Openers and now skipper Murali Vijay and Manan Vohra, however, have contributed well with the bat making 143 and 161 respectively in six matches. They would be expected to give a good start even in today’s game.
