Earlier, MP were bowled out for 200 in 80.2 overs where Gujarat’s Jasprit Bumrah was the highest wicket-taker with three scapls, while the other dismissals were made by RP Singh, Rush KalariaR H Bhatt and Hardik Patel.

On Day two, Gujarat’s innings folded for 311. Manpreet Juneja, Axar and Bhatt scored half-centuries while Rush Kalaria added important 38 runs lower down the order. For Madhya Pradesh, Jalaj Saxena, Puneet Datey and Ankit Kushwaha picked up two wickets each. In reply, Madhya Pradesh kept losing wickets at regular intervals and ended Day two at 7 for 187. Only stumper Naman Ojha made an important contribution with his half-century. Harpreet Singh Bhatia and Puneet Datey are the unbeaten batsmen who will start the proceedings on Day three. Gujarat look favourites to take lead here, while Madhya Pradesh will hope to put up a fight.

Madhya Pradesh are at second spot in the rankings in Group B after Mumbai. They have 17 points while Gujarat have 16 from five matches. Madhya Pradesh haven’t lost a match in the tournament so far. They won two, drew two while one match fetched no result due to bad weather. Gujarat  is at fourth position with just a point less from Madhya Pradesh. Having played five matches, Gujarat won two, drew two and lost one match.
