Hello and welcome to CricketCountry’s live cricket blog of the second day’s play between Hyderabad and Tripura, in the ongoing Ranji Trophy 2015-16 tournament. This is a Group C match and a home game for Hyderabad, being played at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Uppal, Hyderabad. On the first day, Hyderabad were slow and steady as they were 263 for 2 at stumps after 90 overs that were bowled in the day. Hyderabad were placed at a strong position after the end of the first day. Vihari, their batting mainstay who walked out to bat at No. 3, was unbeaten on 94 runs with the help of 10 boundaries and a six. He faced 217 balls during his unbeaten innings and provided the solidity that his side needed from their experienced campaigner. On the other hand, Anirudh cracked eight boundaries and two sixes to score 74 not out, which came from 127 balls.

Vihari and Anirudh have so far put up a strong stand of 151 runs for the third wicket, which has provided Hyderabad a chance to notch up a massive first innings total and then push for an innings win against a lowly Tripura side.
