Hello and welcome to Cricket Country’s live coverage of Day Two of the warm-up match between India A and Bangladesh at Hyderabad. India A are in a strong position at 91 for 1, trailing Bangladesh by 133 runs with 9 wickets in hand. Shreyas Iyer and the top-scprer of Ranji Trophy 2016-17, Priyank Panchal are still at the crease for India A. Panchal is batting on 40, while Shreyas is unbeaten on 29. Subashis Roy is the only wicket-taker for the visitors. India A, however, lost their captain Abhinav Mukund for 16. After winning the toss and electing to bat first, Bangladesh declared their innings on 224 for 8, thanks to fifties from Soumya Sarkar and Mushfiqur Rahim. For India A, Aniket Choudhary was the pick of the bowlers, finishing with figures of 4 for 26. Chama Milind, Vijay Shankar, Shahbaz Nadeem and Kuldeep Yadav picked up one wicket apiece. However, Jayant Yadav and Hardik Pandya just bowled 12 overs between them and did not pick up a single wicket. In fact, Pandya went for 29 runs in his three overs and did not get a chance to bowl after his first spell. Pandya and Jayant have been named in the squad for one-off Test against Bangladesh, which kicks off on February 9. Bangladesh bowlers will look to put in a better performance on Day Two. They will hope that their bowlers make the best use of this opportunity and acclimatise themselves.
Bangladesh were in a spot of bother in the first session, when they were reduced to 92 for 4. But Sabbir Rahman and Mushfiqur added 70 for the sixth wicket to get Bangladesh back on track. Mushfiqur was eventually dismissed for 58, while Sarkar had scored 52 in the first session.
