03.45 PM IST: PLAY CALLED OFF FOR THE DAY! It’s been very disappointing that rain continues to dominate this one-off Test. India are 426 for six and with two more days to go, all they can do is declare and try and take the 20 Bangladeshi wickets in order to force a result. However, with the rains playing a major role in the first three days so far, that looks vry unlikely. Let’s see what is there in the store. Goodbye for today!

02.45 PM IST: Tea break has been taken.

LIVE CRICKET SCORE India 462/6 in 103.3 overs: Don’t understand why India are not declaring. The shortage of time must be there in their minds, but they also need time to get 20 Bangladeshi wickets. Tthere is YET ANOTHER rain interval, and this time it looks heavy.

BATTING: Harbhajan Singh 7 (8), Ravichandran Ashwin 2 (3)

LIVE CRICKET SCORE India 453/6 in 102 overs:  Heartbreak for Rahane! He tries to pull one short from Shakib but misses to connect completely, and is cleaned up! He falls two runs short of what could have been a splendid century. Here comes Harbhajan Singh

BATTING: Harbhajan Singh 0 (2), Ravichandran Ashwin 0 (0)

OUT! Ajinkya Rahane b Shakib-al-Hasan 98 (103)

LIVE CRICKET SCORE India 445/5 in 98 overs: GONE!!! Wriddhiman Saha is gone for cheap. He manages to get just mere six, as he is bowled off a beautiful flighted delivery from Jubair Hossain. Ravichandran Ashwin is the new man in.

BATTING:  Ajinkya Rahane 90 (99), Ravichandran Ashwin 0 (0)

OUT! Wriddhiman Saha b Jubair Hossain 6 (10)

LIVE CRICKET SCORE India 424/4 in 98 overs: Rahane seems to be in a good mood to smash the ball and quickly get to his ton, perhaps in order to declare the innings as well.

BATTING:  Ajinkya Rahane 81 (94), Wriddhiman Saha 6 (10)

LIVE CRICKET SCORE India 424/4 in 98 overs: Play resumes & what a resumption in the form of a wicket. It’s Murali Vijay who departs for a brilliant 151 after being trapped leg before to Shakib Al Hasan. Wriddhiman Saha is the new man in.

BATTING: ,Ajinkya Rahane 80 (92), Wriddhiman Saha 0 (2)

OUT! Murali Vijay lbw b Shakib 150 (272)

LIVE CRICKET SCORE India 423/3 in 97.1 overs: This has been the norm! Vijay takes a single on the first ball of the 98th over, and as soon as he completes the run, it starts raining again! You think India should declare now?

BATTING: Murali Vijay 150 (271), Ajinkya Rahane 74 (87)

LIVE CRICKET SCORE India 419/3 in 96 overs: India are looking for quick runs and it is Rahane who is going for the shots. Poor from Shakib as he continuously gives width to Rahane, who gets two boundaries in the over.

BATTING: Murali Vijay 148 (268), Ajinkya Rahane 72 (83)

LIVE CRICKET SCORE India 404/3 in 94 overs: Play has resumed after the rain delay. India would surely be looking for quick runs, their total is past 400 now. Rahane gets a four off Shakib to make intentions clear.

BATTING: Murali Vijay 146 (266), Ajinkya Rahane 59 (73)

01.06 PM IST: It has stopped drizzling, but the groundsmen are waiting as of now. Might start again.

12.35 PM IST: Match will restart at 1.10 IST time, which is 1.40 local time.

12.00 PM IST: The covers are on at the Fatullah stadium, let’s hope we do get a full day’s play.

With three wickets in quick succession, Bangladesh would have felt they have made a comeback into the contest. But, this 88-run stand between Rahane and Vijay has taken the advantage away from them. Kohli and Rohit fell cheaply after Dhawan’s soft dismissal, and after that Rahane stood up and played a wonderful knock here at Fatullah.

Rahane is batting on 55 not out, and Murali ‘Monk’ Vijay is on 144 not out. India would expect to get to 500 in quick time, and put Bangladesh in to bat. Here is Pramod Ananth’s lunch report of India reaching 398/3 on Day Three, please stay tuned for the updates from next session.

LIVE CRICKET SCORE India 398/3 in 93 overs: There it is! Rahane gets to his seventh half-century in Test cricket, albeit off a thick inside edge that went to the boundary. It’s been a fine innings from Rahane, who has gone for his strokes and not allowed the Bangladeshis to trouble him much. And it is time for lunch!

BATTING: Murali Vijay 144 (264), Ajinkya Rahane 55 (69)

LIVE CRICKET SCORE India 390/3 in 92 overs: Rahane has batted really well in this innings. He has not only been cautious but also has had luck on his side. The partnership for the fourth wicket is of 80 runs now between Vijay and Rahane. The new ball is not making much of difference.

BATTING: Murali Vijay 144 (264), Ajinkya Rahane 47 (63)

Bangladesh have taken the new ball after 88 overs.

LIVE CRICKET SCORE India 363/3 in 86 overs: India have recovered well since those three early wickets. Both Rahane and Vijay are batting comfortably at the crease, rotating the strike at regular interval and picking boundaries at will. Interesting to see if India are looking to up the scoring rate, no one wants a lame draw.

BATTING: Murali Vijay 133 (248), Ajinkya Rahane 32 (48)

LIVE CRICKET SCORE India 337/3 in 81 overs: Time for drinks as Rahane and Vijay seem to have steadied the ship after the early blows. India will not want to lose any more wickets in this session.

BATTING: Murali Vijay 123 (238), Ajinkya Rahane 19 (23)

LIVE CRICKET SCORE India 328/3 in 79 overs: Jubair Hossain is looking very dangerous at the moment. India will have to be a little cautious as the bowlers are getting tremendous amount of turn. Rahane gets two fours in the 78th over of the innings, as Shakib gifted him two deliveries outside the off.

BATTING: Murali Vijay 121 (232), Ajinkya Rahane 12 (17)

LIVE CRICKET SCORE India 310/3 in 75 overs: OUT! Jubair Hossain gets the ball turn into the batsman, and Virat Kohli, who tries to play it to covers gets an inside edge. The ball hits the pads and rolls onto the wickets before Kohli can stop it. Bangladesh are jubilant! Kohli is a disappointed man while trudging back to the pavilion. Ajinkya Rahane walks in. Bangladeshi bowlers are increasingly looking dangerous. Is it the pitch or the bowlers have actually stood up? Enough amount of turn can be seen, lot more compared to the first day.

BATTING: Murali Vijay 115 (225),

OUT! Virat Kohli b Jubair Hossain 14 (22)

LIVE CRICKET SCORE India 292/2 in 70 overs: Another wicket! Poor stroke from any batsman as Rohit tries to play one in the line of the off-stump towards cover, misses the ball completely and his off-stump is uprooted. Joy for Bangladesh as Rohit does not score many, and Shakib finally getting the job done for them. Virat Kohli walks in, and is off the mark right away with a single on the leg side.

BATTING: Murali Vijay 110 (216), Virat Kohli 1 (1)

OUT! Rohit Sharma b Shakib-al-Hasan 6 (9)

LIVE CRICKET SCORE India 283/1 in 67.5 overs: Finally! Bangladesh get something to cheer about after one full day of toil in the field and a day washed out. Soft dismissal for Shikhar Dhawan, who gives a simple return catch to Shakib-al-Hasan. There was a leading edge as the batsman danced down the track to smash the bowler over the park, something which he was looking to do. The ball was on the pads and was going down the leg. Lucky for Shakib and Bangladesh that there was an edge. The partnership has been broken! Rohit Sharma walks in.

BATTING: Murali Vijay 103 (206),

OUT! Shikhar Dhawan c&b Shakib-al-Hasan 173 (195)

LIVE CRICKET SCORE India 242/0 in 57 overs: Mohammad Shahid to Shikhar Dhawan and he takes a single. Murali Vijay on strike. Shahid coming over the wicket and dot ball. First run of the day for Vijay. He enters nineties. Dhawan on strike and more singles. Dot balls.

BATTING: Murali Vijay 90 (182), Shikhar Dhawan 152 (160)

Mohammad Shahid is out to bowl the 57th over. We are back to some cricket after a day’s break due to heavy rains. He will be bowling to Shikhar Dhawan.

Hello and welcome to CricketCountry’s live cricket blog of the third day’s play in one-off Test between India and Bangladesh, at the Khan Shaheb Osman Ali Stadium in Fatullah on Friday. This is Devarchit Varma, and I will be bringing you the live cricket scores and updates of the match.

The second day was washed out completely, as the rains did not even allow the teams to leave their hotels in Fatullah. The day’s play was cancelled in the afternoon when the umpires deemed it tough to give it a go, despite the rain subsiding a little bit.

India were 239 for no loss on a rain-truncated first day of this one-off Test. Shikhar Dhawan and Murali Vijay smashed the Bangladeshi bowlers all over the park as they not only registered the second-best partnership overseas for India in Test cricket, but also broke a couple of other records.

Due to the washed out second day of the Test, both the teams would be forced to approach this match differently. While India will look to garner quick runs and put Bangladesh in to bat, the hosts would not want anymore humiliation at the hands of the Indian batsmen.
