The light was fading and there were dark clouds approaching as well. We would have had a far more entertaining Test had the match been scheduled some other time. Nevertheless, both the teams will have something to take away from this game. This is the first time Bangladesh have not lost a Test after following on. Well, there are such bizarre facts which you cannot ignore.

India’s performer of the match is Ajinkya Rahane for his innings of 98 off 103 balls.

Bangladesh’s performer of match is Shakib Al Hasan for his four-wicket haul.

Shikhar Dhawan is the Man of the Match for his splendid innings of 173.

Virat Kohli: We had a good time with the bat. They (openers) batted for the team, it was a selfless performers. Having rains for 2-3 hours everyday was the spoiler. Both the teams were disappointed. We were really prepared. We had a good time on the field, the boys put up a good show. Ashwin and Harbhajan are quality bowlers. Harbhajan has been a match winner for India. Guys made most of the time we had on the field. Boys delivered perfectly. The wickets played the way we expected. We thought if it will not rain the pacers can trouble the Bangladeshi batsmen. There was no reverse swing as well. Combination was right, conditions are never in control. We adjusted nicely. Bangladesh are a talented bunch. In one-day cricket they are right up there. They have been stepping up in biggest stages. That shows the potential and character. Wish them the best for the days to come.

Mushfiqur Rahim: When it rains it gets difficult. Praise the groundsmen who did a great job all the time. We thought our bowlers did a good job. There are areas for us to improve, and hopefully we will come out strong. Shakib is a great player and so is Tamim, I hope they continue the same way. We have played well, say against Pakistan.

The ODI series begins on June 18. Thank you for joining us for this Test, we have few more days left for the second and final leg of the tour. See you then!

Live Cricket Score Bangladesh (2nd innings) 17/0 | Overs 12:  There are 19 more overs left in the day, and this game looks all but a lame draw. BATTING:  Tamim Iqbal 11 (33), Imrul Kayes 6 (39)

Live Cricket Score Bangladesh (2nd innings) 12/0 | Overs 7: DROPPED? Ashwin squares up Kayes on the second last ball of the sixth over, with the ball turning more than expected, taking the edge and carrying to the first slip, where Kohli’s one-handed effort was not enough as he got to the ball but failed to grab it. Apart from this, Bangladesh have been quite watchful against the Indian  bowlers.

Live Cricket Score Bangladesh (2nd innings) 4/0 | Overs 2: There was a boundary in the fine leg region in the first over from Umesh. Ashwin comes on from the other end with the new ball. He starts off with a maiden.

Live Cricket Score Bangladesh 246/9 | Overs 65.1: Aaron surprises Taijul with a snorter — a short ball directed on the batsman’s chest. And there it is! Third wicket in the game for Harbhajan! Shahid tries to go big but ends up hitting high in the air. Easy catch for Dhawan!

Live Cricket Score Bangladesh 180/6 | Overs 49: Shuvagata Hom is out there in the middle and he gets a four in the over from Aaron to get off the mark. Aaron is bowling above 140 kmph on this flat deck, and it is really good to see a fast bowler bending his back.

Live Cricket Score Bangladesh 172/5 | Overs 47.2: WICKET! Another  poor effort from a top-0rder Bangladeshi batsman. Imrul Kayes has squandered the opportunity to score a big one here. He comes down the track to smash Harbhajan, but the bowler understood the intention, bowled it a little wide. The ball bounced a little more and turned away. Kayes was way down the wicket, and Saha stumped him very, very comfortably.

BATTING: Soumya Sarkar 33 (44)

OUT! Imrul Kayes st Wriddhiman Saha b Harbhajan Singh 72 (139)

BATTING: Imrul Kayes 64 (119), Soumya Sarkar 10 (22)

Live Cricket Score Bangladesh 133/4 | Overs 36: Ishant does not look like he would take a wicket here. Kayes gets his first runs of the day with a FOUR through cover. On the other hand, Soumya is looking like a bundle of nerves against Ashwin. Interesting passage of play.

BATTING: Imrul Kayes 63 (112), Soumya Sarkar 8 (11)

Live Cricket Score Bangladesh 124/4 | Overs 33: The dependable Soumya Sarkar comes out to bat, and is off the strike with two runs on the final ball of the over. Bangladesh cannot afford to lose wickets right now.

BATTING: Imrul Kayes 59 (103), Soumya Sarkar 3 (2)

Live Cricket Score Bangladesh 121/4 | Overs 32.4: You would expect someone as experienced as Shakib to hang around in the middle and try and bide time, but the batsman pays the price for being aggressive. The first ball is hit well through cover for FOUR, but Shakib is caught on the fourth ball trying to play the cut shot. Bangladesh in trouble!

BATTING: Imrul Kayes 59 (103),

09.00 AM IST: Good morning, everyone! The match has been delayed due to rain, and one can spot puddles on the areas where there are no covers, so you can make out how well the monsoon has settled in. I will keep updating you as and when possible, but for now I can say for sure that the match is NOT starting anytime soon.

Hello and welcome to CricketCountry’s live blog of the fifth and final day of the one-off Test between India and Bangladesh on Sunday. This is Devarchit Varma, and I will be bringing you the live cricket scores and updates of the match.

The match looks all set to end in a lame draw, after persistent rains playing spoilsport on all four days. On the fourth day, Bangladesh were 111 for three before rains intervened close to the lunch break, and then the entire day’s play was washed out. Bangladesh remain at 111/3 vs India at Stumps, Day 4 after play was abandoned due to rain

India declared their first innings at the overnight score of 462 for six, with Harbhajan Singh and Ravichandran Ashwin being at the crease. Shikhar Dhawan and Murali Vijay slammed impressive centuries, while Ajinkya Rahane was very unfortunate to have missed out on a deserving ton, falling for 98.
