Rohit Sharma is the Man of the Match for his fine hundred. He says he was looking for a three-figure in the previous games as well but this was his moment. He heaps a lot of praises on his skipper Virat Kohli, who managed an unbeaten 96. He also praised Kohli’s captaincy.

  • 9:41 PM IST

  • 9:39 PM IST

Kohli drives Sabbir. That’s a FOUR. He does not get the hundred. But it’s a win nevertheless. So it’s INDIA VS PAKISTAN on SUNDAY.

  • 9:38 PM IST

Shakib to bowl. India get 5 singles. Kohli isn’t interested in the 3-figure mark. He isn’t a record person. Maybe that is why he keeps getting them one after the other. India need 4.

  • 9:35 PM IST

Kohli pulls Shakib for a boundary. 2 balls later, another run and that’s his 8,000 ODI runs. He is fastest to the landmark. He gets past AB de Villiers. India need 9. Kohli needs 11.

  • 9:33 PM IST

Sabbir drifts down the pad and Kohli flicks it for a boundary. Brilliant. Rohit ends the over with a bludgeoning drive over deep extra-cover for a boundary. Rohit isn’t in a mood to let Kohli get to the three-figure. Now that’s the competition here!

  • 9:29 PM IST

Rohit launches an onslaught on Taskin. Short and wide, Rohit cuts away for 4. Taskin bowls a good short-ball but Rohit executes a better pull. 10 from the over.

  • 9:23 PM IST

Taskin bowls a half-volley and Rohit punches it straight down the ground for a boundary. Kohli meanwhile is nearing the 8,000-ODI-run mark.

  • 9:20 PM IST

This is only the 6th ODI hundred by an Indian batsmen in an ICC ODI event.

    Ganguly: 3
    Rohit: 2
    Tendulkar: 1
  • 9:18 PM IST
Lot of Ganguly today. Hope he is aware of these in the commentary box. Meanwhile, Kohli drives elegantly and a misfield allows him a boundary. Kohli will be eyeing the 3-figure as well.

  • 9:17 PM IST

  • 9:13 PM IST

Fizz into the attack. Any twist in the tale? No. Kohli hits on the up. Stand and deliver. Straight for a boundary. There is no swing for Fizz. His cutters are not working. He has looked quite ordinary today. 3 dot balls and Rohit plays a hook. Was risky. There was a fine-leg. Just finds the cushion. It’s a six. 100 for ROHIT. His 11th in international cricket. Second against Bangladesh. The first one came in the World Cup quarter-final, and now Champions Trophy semis. This man has a sense for occasions. 11 from it.

  • 9:07 PM IST

Rohit is taking his time. Understandably so. He missed out a century against Pakistan. He does not want to repeat that sin again. 3 from the Shakib over.

  • 9:06 PM IST

India do not have to target Mahmudullah. He starts with a rank long hop and Rohit pulls for a boundary. Kohli gets into the act. A half-volley and slammed whacked through cover for a boundary. 10 from the over and they made it look so easy.

  • 9:04 PM IST
    This happened earlier today.

  • 9:03 PM IST
    Mahmudullah into the attack.

  • 9:00 PM IST

4 singles off Taskin’s over and Kohli ends it with a brilliant back foot pull to bring up another ODI fifty. He is making scoring boring.

  • 8:57 PM IST

Shakib into the attack. Can he spin a web around the Indian batting? Well almost. 2 chances go begging off 2 deliveries. Rohit almost chips a catch. Falls in no man’s land. The next ball, Kohli looking to late-cut gloves one to Mushfiqur. Tough chance. Bangladesh need to make those count.

Pakistan has caused a major upset in the ICC Champions Trophy 2017, eliminating England. Can Bangladesh cause the second? Hello and welcome to the CricketCountry’s live coverage of the tournament and this is the second semi-final where India take on Bangladesh. After England’s exit, the current title-holders India are the favourites for the tournament and for the match as well. Bangladesh, on the other hand, have a great momentum and immense confidence coming from a group that consisted of teams like Australia and New Zealand. Looking at how passionate the fans of both these countries are, this match can be expected to turn out to be one of the most entertaining matches. Full cricket scorecard: India vs Bangladesh

India topped the table for Group B, with their only defeat coming against Sri Lanka in an unexpected manner. India boast of a strong batting line-up and that has clicked so far in the tournament. Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma have so far played well, especially Dhawan. India can expect a strong start from these two, continued by skipper Virat Kohli, who has hit a couple of half-centuries in the tournament already. The middle-order consists the experienced duo of Yuvraj Singh and MS Dhoni followed by Kedar Jadhav, Ravindra Jadeja and Hardik Pandya. Ravichandran Ashwin, if included in the side, will also be a handy tail-ender.

As far as bowling is concerned, Bhuvneshwar Kumar will be the leading pacer, with Jasprit Bumrah looking for some scalps and economical spells towards the death. Ashwin the Jadeja are the spinners India will depend on with Hardik Pandya bowling in the middle overs.

Bangladesh, on the other hand, look relatively weak in front of India. Though the team has great names such as Tamim Iqbal, Shakib Al Hasan and Mahmudullah who have pulled off heroics for their side, their inability to deliver as a team consistently affects their game. The likes of Mushfiqur Rahim, Soumya Sarkar and Sabbir Rahman will have to step up and contribute in order to take Bangladesh to a good score. Among the bowlers, Taskin Ahmed, Rubel Hossain and Mustafizur Rahman will be the three men Bangladesh will depend upon.

Squads:
