Hello and welcome to the live cricket blog and updates of the one-off Test between India and Bangladesh at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad. I am Kaustubh S. Mayekar and will bring you the live coverage of Day Four’s play. Bangladesh trail by 365 runs, with 4 wickets remaining in the first innings. However, they will eye on avoiding the follow-on first. For all you know, the day-four track will help Indian spinners Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja catch the batsmen in trance. Therefore, scoring 165 runs will be their top-most priority. In addition, captain Mushfiqur Rahim is unbeaten on 89 with Mehedi Hasan (51) at the other end, giving Bangladesh a glimmer of hope in this rather one-sided encounter. LIVE CRICKET SCORECARD: India vs Bangladesh, one-off Test at Hyderabad

The No. 1 team in ICC Test Rankings will leave no stone unturned to dismantle the inexperienced Bangladeshi side twice and win the one-off Test. Regardless, the result of this match will not affect the placement of both teams in the ICC table. But Virat Kohli does not leave anything to chance. He will go all guns blazing and dish out a strategy to obliterate the visitors and extend the winning spree to 19 Tests. As a matter of fact, the last time India lost a Test was on August 15, 2015. All this under Kohli’s captaincy, who by all means is a contender for the Man of the Match award (or Man of the Series, for it is the only Test). IND vs BAN, Day 4 preview: Hosts eye early wickets

Bangladesh, on the other hand, will have to put their heart if they are to pull off the unlikely. Given the amount of runs India have registered, no doubt that Bangladesh will be forced a follow-on. Nonetheless, if they do avoid it, it will be a victory for the fallible side, for it is an uphill climb for any team to keep Indian spinners at bay in their own backyard. Mushfiqur will have to cut lose, and emulate what Shakib Al Hasan (82) did. The southpaw took on Ashwin, not letting him to get in the groove. Though Mehedi Hasan dropped the anchor in the last session of Day Three, Mushfiqur will have to take centre stage and dictate terms to the Indian bowlers before his side loses all the 10 wickets.

The curators dished out a hard wicket. There are not many cracks for spinners to exploit. So far, the batsmen have not faced any trouble finding their feet. But again, Indian tracks are often unpredictable. We may as well see Ashwin and Jadeja run through the Bangladesh line-up.
