Hello and welcome to CricketCountry’s coverage of the fifth and final day of the second Test of the Gandhi-Mandela Freedom series between India and South Africa at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. I am Shiamak Unwalla, and I will bring all the live cricket scores and updates from Day Five. Day One of the Test was full of action, as India bowled South Africa out for 214 thanks to four-wicket hauls from Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin respectively. Sadly, the next three days in a row ended in washouts, which means a result seems highly unlikely at this point. LIVE CRICKET SCORECARD: India vs South Africa 2nd Test at Bengaluru

9:30am Update: The rain gods are playing spoilsport even on the final day of the Test, with the start of play on the final day getting delayed due to a slight drizzle, which has forced the groundstaff to bring the covers out. Next inspection at 10:00 am IST.

Day One saw AB de Villiers — playing the 100th Test of his distinguished career — play an excellent counter-attacking 85 even as the rest of the batting failed around him. None barring Dean Elgar and Morne Morkel scored more than 20, with three players failing to score a run at all, though Imran Tahir was unbeaten without scoring. India responded in wonderful fashion, with both openers batting out the remainder of the day. Shikhar Dhawan returned to form with an unbeaten 45 off 62 balls with seven boundaries, while the ‘monk’ Murali Vijay remained not out on 28 off 73 balls with five boundaries. The Bengaluru crowds will be hoping for some action after three disappointing washed out days. While a result looks quite improbable at the moment, a couple of sporting declarations might make things interesting.READ: Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja prey on batsmen’s doubts in India vs South Africa 2015, 2nd Test at Bengaluru
