Heinrich Klaasen, the local boy, wins the Man of the Match. Kohli says it was difficult for the bowlers to grip the ball after 12 overs as the constant drizzle made it very tough.

And Duminy finishes it off in style. That’s over long-on for a huge six. South Africa win by six wickets. They needed 12 off 10 and all it took were two blows from the captain. Fantastic knock from Duminy. South Africa level it 1-1.

A two and then a wide. Not at all going India’s way. South Africa walk home with ease unless they decide not to be South Africa. Unadkat hurls a full-toss (must have slipped) and Duminy goes over deep midwicket for a six. 6 off 9 balls.

Bhuvi Unadkat to bowl the penultimate over…

Thakur to bowl his final over. The over goes 1 2 1 1. Just falls short of Bhuvi at deep extra cover. Duminy stays. Six off the first five balls. The rain has got heavier. Common, don’t spoil this brilliant game. Duminy gets a bottom edge for four. That’s fifty for Duminy. SA need 16 off 12. This is Duminy’s 10 T20I fifty.

Bhuvi into the attack with too little to defend. 33 runs off 4 overs. SA are well ahead of the DLS method score and the rain has just got heavier. A misfield at point gives Behardien a single. Duminy now gets two. Amid the Klaasen carnage, I have mentioned very little about Duminy but this has been an innings of quality. A seven-run over from Bhuvi. SA need 26 off 18 balls.

Hello and welcome to CricketCountry’s live coverage of the India tour of South Africa 2017-18. This is the penultimate game of the tour. South Africa are fighting to stay alive in the T20I series as the teams return to SuperSport Park, Centurion for the second T20I. I am Suvajit Mustafi and I will provide you the live updates and the best of tweets from today’s contest.

This is the fourth time in this tour that the sides will be playing at Centurion. India lost the second Test here to concede the series last month. However, India pulled off two big wins in the ODI series. The South African side is plagued with injuries, and they will hope for the youngsters to shine, whereas for India, domination will keep ruling their mind. Riding on the form of Virat Kohli, Shikhar Dhawan and the two wrist spinners, India have exhibited a ruthless show in the limited-overs.

The woman’s match earlier was abandoned due to rain, so the weather may play a spoilsport to the contest.

Like promoting Suresh Raina at No.3, you could expect more surprises. My guesses for respective XIs:

India: Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan, Suresh Raina, Virat Kohli (c), Manish Pandey, MS Dhoni (wk), Hardik Pandya, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Jaydev Unadkat, Jasprit Bumrah, Yuzvendra Chahal

South Africa should promote Chris Morris. He has enough IPL experience and has played against these bowlers. It makes little sense to keep him till penultimate over.

South Africa: Reeza Hendricks, Jon-Jon Smuts, JP Duminy (c), David Miller, Farhaan Behardien, Heinrich Klaasen (wk), Andile Phehlukwayo, Chris Morris, Dane Paterson, Junior Dala, Tabraiz Shamsi

Suvajit Mustafi consumes cricket for lunch, fiction for dinner and munches numerous other snacks throughout the day. Yes, a jack of several trades, all Suvajit dreamt of was being India’s World Cup winning skipper but ended up being a sports writer, author, screenwriter, director, copywriter, graphic designer, sports marketer, strategist, entrepreneur, philosopher and traveller. Donning so many hats, it’s cricket which gives him the ultimate high and where he finds solace. He can be followed at @RibsGully [Twitter] and rivu7 [Facebook].
