The Test has heavily swayed India’s way and skipper Virat Kohli, who had an off series against Australia is back to his scoring best. He is 24 short of his 17th Test hundred. He has earlier said that milestones mean nothing and it’s about team winning that matters. So will we see an overnight declaration? Having said so, there is plenty of time in the game but the uncertain bit is weather. Earlier, India having put on 600 bowled Sri Lanka out for 291. It was Angelo Mathews’ 83 and Dilruwan Perera’s 92 not out that guided the hosts to respectability. Ravindra Jadeja was the pick of the bowlers with a 3-for.

Day Four promises a lot more action. A Kohli hundred? Ashwin-Jadeja combining to dismantle Sri Lanka? Or a remarkable turnaround from the host camp like 2015? We will have to wait and watch.
