Hello and welcome to the live blog of Day One of the third and final Test between India at Sri Lanka. I am Vishal Mehra, and will bring all the live updates from Feroz Shah Kotla, Delhi.

India took 1-0 lead after thrashing Sri Lanka by an innings and 239 runs in the second Test. Murali Vijay, Cheteshwar Pujara, and Rohit Sharma scored hundreds, while Virat Kohli went on to score his fifth double-century. Ravichandran Ashwin took 4 wickets in the match, taking his tally to 300 wickets. Sri Lanka continue being in trouble, as veteran Rangana Herath was ruled out due to back pain. Leg-spinner Jeffrey Vandersay was drafted as his replacement. Among the many records and achievements, Virat Kohli holds a unique fact: he has not played the same XI ever since he took over captaincy. Will he chop and change at Delhi? For that matter, Shikhar Dhawan will be back for the third Test. He had gone back home to attend his sister’s wedding, after scoring a resolute 94 at Kolkata. On the other hand, KL Rahul had 9 half-centuries in 9 matches before the Nagpur Test. Who would you drop if you were to pick playing XI for India?
