There you go, Lizelle Lee has been taken by Bisht. Shikha Pandey gets the breakthrough. South Africa runs have suddenly dried up. Meanwhile, Looks like Jhulan has been rested ahead of the much anticipated T20I series. Pooja Vastrakar has been included.

  • 5:35 PM IST

And the women are back this time to defend the total of 241. The South Africa Women are off the mark. A boundary for them already Lizelle Lee would be the key here to be removed. She has been in top form this series. Du Preez is also back in the camp. South Africa 10/0, need 231 to win

  • 4:57 PM IST

And woah! India have managed to score 240 and South Africa need 241. Will the Indian bowlers defend the total well and hand India Women maiden whitewash?

  • 4:46 PM IST

A run-rate that was lingering at 4 has not zoomed to 8. Shikha Pandey, Sushma Verma have answered Mithali call of lower-order stepping up and taking India to a competitive position. India Women 231/8 with 10 balls to go

India Women lost Veda indeed but looks like Deepti has taken over the role. The runs are flowing in abundance for India and a 220 score looks certain now. • 3:50 PM IST

Another wicket down. India Women are 4 down. Veda goes for 56. Her sweep shot was not timed well and a diving catch by Steyn to end her innings. Mona Meshram has entered the crease while Deepti brings up her fifty.

And with 39 runs, Deepti completes 1,000 ODI runs. Another milestone for her on this very venue. And 50 partnership as well between Deepti and Veda. A much-needed one.

  • 3:20 PM IST

It has been start and stop sort of innings for India so far. They are almost half-way through and the momentum has been slow. A score of 175 would be competitive score at this stage or maybe even 200. Meanwhile, it is 100 up for India Women in style again.

Hello and welcome to the live blog of the second ODI between India Women and South Africa Women. We, at CricketCountry, will bring all the live updates, stats, as well as interesting posts from the social media universe. The venue for this encounter is Senwes Park at Potchefstroom. Mithali Raj and co. have already sealed the series. However, they would be aiming for their maiden bilateral whitewash against South Africa when they face-off in the third and final ODI on Saturday.

After a six-month lay-off since the 2017 Women’s World Cup, the Indian Eves were off the mark instantly by winning the first two ODIs convincingly. In the first two matches, Smriti Mandhana single-handedly batted out the South Africans. However, Punam Raut has been unable to convert her starts into big scores. The middle-order, too, has chipped in. Harmanpreet Kaur and Veda Krishnamurthy were back among the runs in the second match. Meanwhile, the bowling department has troubled South Africa with both pace and spin.

On the other hand, South Africa would hope for a turnaround in fortunes as far as their batting department is concerned. They missed the services of Mignon du Preez who is likely to return for the final tie. They also felt the absence of Shabnim Ismail in the bowling department. She is expected to stay in the sidelines for this match as well.
