Hello and welcome to the live blog of the second ODI between India Women and South Africa Women. We, at CricketCountry, will bring all the live updates, stats, as well as interesting posts from the social media universe. The venue for this encounter is Senwes Park at Potchefstroom. Mithali Raj and co. have already sealed the series. However, they would be aiming for their maiden bilateral whitewash against South Africa when they face-off in the third and final ODI on Saturday.

After a six-month lay-off since the 2017 Women’s World Cup, the Indian Eves were off the mark instantly by winning the first two ODIs convincingly. In the first two matches, Smriti Mandhana single-handedly batted out the South Africans. However, Punam Raut has been unable to convert her starts into big scores. The middle-order, too, has chipped in. Harmanpreet Kaur and Veda Krishnamurthy were back among the runs in the second match. Meanwhile, the bowling department has troubled South Africa with both pace and spin.

On the other hand, South Africa would hope for a turnaround in fortunes as far as their batting department is concerned. They missed the services of Mignon du Preez who is likely to return for the final tie. They also felt the absence of Shabnim Ismail in the bowling department. She is expected to stay in the sidelines for this match as well.
