South Africa pulled off a comeback in the T20I series, winning the third match at Johannesburg. Apart from Harmanpreet Kaur, Smriti Mandhana and Veda Krishnamurthy, no other batter reached double-digit scores. India’s innings ended with 133 runs on the board in 17.5 overs. Shabnim Ismail registered figures of 5 for 30 — second-best by any South African cricketer in the shortest format.
Despite an early strike, Indian bowlers could not be as lethal. Dane van Niekerk, Sune Luus and Chloe Tryon scored ample runs to take the team to their first win in the series, with six deliveries to spare.
