Mumbai Indians (MI) were bowled out for a low score of 92 in 19.2 overs against Delhi Daredevils (DC) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2012 match at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Monday.
Put into bat, Mumbai got off to a shaky start as they lost both the openers for five runs.
Shahbaz Nadeem clean bowled Davy Jacobs and Richard Levi to help Delhi off to an ideal start.
Ambati Rayudu and Rohit Sharma joined forces to resurrect the Mumbai innings.
The duo added 25 runs for the third wicket before Rayudu (4) was run-out following a mix up.
Departure of Rayudu saw Mumbai suffer a collapse as they lost the wicket of Rohit Sharma, Kieron Pollard and Dinesh Karthik in quick succession.
Ajit Agarkar snapped the wicket of Rohit, while Umesh Yadav accounted for the scalps of Pollard and Karthik to have Mumbai reeling at 44 for six in the 11th over.
Skipper Harbhajan Singh and Australian all-rounder Clint McKay then stitched a quick fire partnership of 34 runs before the former fell to Irfan Pathan.
Morne Morkel came back in his second spell to dismiss RP Singh for naught and then struck to send back Harbhajan Singh.
Brief Scores: MI 92 in 19.2 overs (Harbhajan Singh 33, Rohit Sharma 29; Shahbaz Nadeem 2 for 16, Umesh Yadav 2 for 10) vs DD
