TOSS: Sindh (Bat)

This match will be the second for both the teams. Both the teams played well in their previous matches as both ended on a winning note and it will be interesting to see the two confident teams taking on each other in this match. Islamabad faced Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) in their first match where they defeated the opponents by 2-wickets (D/L method). It was the effort from skipper Misbah who came in the middle-order and scored a match winning knock of 82 runs along with Iftikhar Ahmed who played a perfect partner scoring 48 runs.

Sindh, in their last match, defeated Balochistan by 42 runs (D/L method). The team, batting first, had put up a massive 266, thanks to their openers Khurram Manzoor and Sami Aslam both of whom scored individual centuries. Yet another century in the match came from Balochistan skipper Azhar Ali but that was not enough to take the team to victory as the rest of the batting line-up failed to hold on to the momentum.

Sindh’s squad for Pakistan Cricket Cup 2016: Khurram Manzoor, Sami Aslam, Mohammad Waqas, Shoaib Maqsood, Khalid Latif, Fawad Alam, Saad Ali, Sarfraz Ahmed (capt), Imad Wasim, Anwar Ali, Bilal Asif, Mohammad Amir, Sohail Khan, Ruman Raeez, Hassan Khan
