Earlier on Sunday, Nicholas Pooran played aggressively to register a power-packed 39-ball 81 to help Barbados Tridents (BT) secure their third win of the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2016 at the Kensington Oval in Barbados. Despite losing his senior partner, AB de Villiers at 32, Pooran’s focus remained unimpaired as he propelled the hosts to a sizeable total of 173 for 5 in their allotted 20 overs. In reply, all St. Lucia Zouks could muster was 148 for 8 and slipped to a 25-run defeat. With this victory, the home team have leapfrogged Trinbago Knight Riders (TKR) to climb to the third spot with seven points, while St. Lucia Zouks continue to languish at the bottom of the table with just two points in their kitty after playing four matches.
