Morkel is back and gets smacked for a biggie. Goes for another over the same region, Pandey saves a certain six and throes it to run Gayle out. Can KKR make a turn around from here? This might go down to the wire. Abu Nechim comes in and takes a quick single. It is followed by a couple with four runs to win off eight as Patel scrambles for another single towards fine leg. The final over is short and is played behind deep third-man for a boundary to finish the proceedings.

The last delivery is a single as Morne Morkel attempted a difficult one at long on for a catch.

Narine is back and stuns Gayle with a googly off the first ball. He plays the second to long on for a single and brings up his half-century. Sammy plays it one towards off-side for a single, followed by another googly to Gayle. the fourth delivery takes the outer edge of Gayle for a single and rush in for another single off the last delivery towards fine leg.

Cariappa comes in and is greeted with a boundary towards mid-off, followed by a couple of singles and another boundary in the same region. Fourth ball is smoked again by de Villierd over long on towards the crowd. However, Cariappa makes it count as he has stumped de Villiers for 28.

Pathan is back as he starts off with a single, followed by another three singles. The fifth one is smoked again by de Villiers over Mid-on for six and follows a single towards mid-on boundary to keep the strike.

Final deliver is struck staright, takes a deflection off Gayle straight down the ground for a single.

Pathan comes to bowl, starts off with a couple of leg byes. Second ball strikes the pad of Gayle, appeals for a leg-before, but the umpire turns it down as he feels it struck outside leg as they take a single. However, he does it the next delivery as he bowls Karthik out. Mandeep Singh comes in and faces the next delivery for a dot, but smokes it for a big one straight down the ground. However, he is bowled again off the next one. It’s a dream spell for Yusuf. Fails to fire with the bat, but is doing it with the ball.

Andre Russel is on as he starts off with a couple of dots, but follows a short as Karthik hooks it off the gloves towards deep square leg for a boundary. He follows it back with a dot again and bowls the same delivery in the fifth one to be pulled towards square leg for a single, followed by another single to end the over.

Morkel starts off with a single towards mid-wicket, but the second ball is played straight down the ground by Gayle for a boundary. Single outside leg off the third as the fourth delivery is a dot again. Fifth ball is short, Kohli goes for a hook, clips the glove and is taken high by Uthappa behind. KKR get the first crucial breakthrough in the form of the skipper as Karthik comes in. Final delivery results in a dot.

Morkel continues as he starts off with a dot. However, he follows with a short one, pulled hard by Kohli over mid-on for a big one. Morkel follows it back with another dot. Fourth ball is played over mid-off in the air, but Gambhir ran fast enough to cut the boundary off a bounce as they run a couple, followed by another dot. However, Gayle finishes the over with a boundary towards long on.

Second ball, short again and it gone over the keeper off an edge for a big one, followed by another one off the third. Single off the fourth towards deep cover while a dot off the fifth. Aaron bowls an overhead wide as Shakib is run out for a duck in an attempt to steal a single. However, the final delivery is a full toss, played by Russell over the cover for a boundary to end the innings.

Harshal comes back but Russell smokes it over long on for a SIX. followed by a full toss, Russell mistimes it as it goes high in the air, but Aaron and Abbott couldn’t decide, who should go for the catch as the ball land safe in no man’s land. Patel is back and dismissed Yadav off the first ball. On to the pads, Yadav plays it high towards deep square leg, but is taken comfortably by Mandeep Singh at the ropes. Yusuf Pathan comes in as Pandey faces the second, and it’s a run out as he departs for 23. Miscommunication with Yusuf as he sends Pandey back, but a direct throw by Kohli does the damage. Third ball is a dot outside leg, but the same delivery is flicked deep for a boundary towards fine-leg. Fifth ball results in a single towards on side follwoed by another on as they quickly scramble thorugh. Andre Russell is the new man.

Chahal continues to Gambhir as he plays it to deep mid-wicket for a couple. However, the second delivery sees him walking back as an atttempt for a big one ends up in handing a high catch to Mandeep Singh at deep mid-wicket. Third ball to Pandey and no run, but is a boundary of the fourth as he plays it straight and hard down the ground. Fifth one, scrambled for a single followed by a dot to end the over. Suryakumar Yadav is the new man in.

Aaron comes in and bowls to the skipper as he scrambles for a single to bring up his half-century. Second delivery and Pandey smashes it hard down the ground for a boundary. Short third delivery, Pandey doesn’t time it good, but still manages to get a single. Fourth delivery and towards third man for another boundary. It is followed by a bouncer over shoulder as the umpire gives it a wide. Fifthe delivery results in a couple as the batsmen quickly scramble through with a close chance of direct hit by de Villiers. Final delivery and single off a leg-bye.

However, the fourth delivery finally gives RCB the breakthrough they were looking for as Uthappa gors for a big over long on, doesn’t time it good and is taken well by Sammy. Manish Pandey comes in as gambhir scrambles for a single of the fourth delivery, followed by a dot to end the over as he bowls a bouncer.

Spin comes in. Yuzuvendra Chahal is here and starts off with a single towards mid-wicket. Second ball, played towards mid-off, no run. Player made the throw towards the bowler and it almost took him apart. Fourth ball is another comfortable single by Uthappa, followed by a low rising fifth delivery. Gambhir went for a sweep, but missed it completely as the keepr went for a stumping chance which was never a stumping actually. Final delivery is a full toss as Gambhir swipes hard towards mid-on. The ball strikes two fielders, but still manages to reach the boundary.

Change in bowling, Darren Sammy is here and starts off with a single towards mid-off, followed by single towards square leg. Third ball, on to the pads, big appeal, but turned down. Maybe it was striking outside off for Uthappa. Dot for the fifth ball, followed by a beautiful boundary by Gambhir as he strikes it straight down the ground.

Nechim continues and is scrambled again for a single, followed by another single of the second ball towards mid-wicket. Dot ball as a short ball is well defended by Uthappa, followed by another short in the fourth deliver, as Uthappa pulls towards mid-on, but no run taken. Single off the fifth towards mid-on. Final delivery and WHAT ON EARTH am I seeing! AB de Villiers drops Gautam Gambhir on 32. Short ball, he pulls towards square leg and de Villiers drops an absolute sitter.

KKR were off to a flying start to their 2015 campaign after registering a comfortable, seven-wicket win over former champions, Mumbai Indians (MI) at Eden Gardens on the opening day, on Wednesday. KKR would like to continue their winning start and maintain the momentum against one of their rivals, RCB at their home ground. RCB, on the other hand, had a dreadful season last year, finishing bottom second at seventh spot, failing to give a tough competition, despite possessing few of the best and world-class players. However, they would shrug aside the performance last season and carry the positives to turn the tables around this season and aim a top-four finish at least, with the likes of Chris Gayle, AB de Villiers, Virat Kohli and many more. Playing at home with their current momentum and a superior bowling attack, KKR should be able to hold off the RCB threat.
