Hello and welcome to CricketCountry’s live coverage of Day 2 of the Ranji Trophy 2015-16 Group B match between Madhya Pradesh and Andhra at the Holkar Cricket Stadium in Indore. MP are currently placed sixth in the table as they have 17 points from seven games, courtesy of a couple of wins, loss and draws, while a game ended in no contest. Andhra, on the other hand. are placed at the bottom of the table as they have 10 points from the seven games, having not won a single game, and losing as well as drawing three, while a game ended in no contest. Andhra, who are definitely out of making it to the knock-outs, would look to finish the season on a high by earning their first win, while MP would look for another win here and rise above the table and make it to the quarter-finals. Live Cricket Score: Andhra 89/2 | Overs 24 | BATTING: Kaif 28(56), Andimani Pradeep 5(11): After batting again due to Madhya Pradesh’s enforcing follow-on, Andhra have lost two early wickets. The last batsman to get dismissed was Prashanth Kumar in the 22nd over. At tea, the visitors trail Madhya Pradesh by 134 runs with 8 wickets to spare and last session left in the day. OUT! Batting again, the visitors have lost an early wicket. Srikar Bharat was dismissed on the fourth delivery of the fourth over when he was stumped by MP’s wicketkeeper Naman Ojha off Ankit Sharma’s bowling, leaving Andhra at 17 for 1. Live Cricket Score: Andhra 18/1 | Madhya Pradesh 279 | Overs 17 | BATTING: Srikar Bharat 6(45), Kaif 6(49): Madhya Pradesh were bowled out for 279 in Day 2 before Andhra took over batting. Rameez Khan who was unbeaten at stumps of the opening day was dimissed in the second over of the day, leaving Rajasthan with a first innings total of 279. Harpreet Singh (81) and Rameez Khan (73 not out) scored a half-century each to help Madhya Pradesh reach 261 for nine against Andhra on the first day of their Group B Ranji Trophy cricket match on Tuesday. Opting to bat, MP lost three wickets cheaply to be struggling at 39 for three before Harpreet came to team’s rescue. Harpreet and Rameez put on a crucial 105-run stand for the fifth wicket to take the team to a respectable position. But Harpreet’s dismissal triggered a collapse and MP suddenly lost four wickets with an addition of just 23 runs to the total, reported PTI.
