Hello and welcome to CricketCountry’s live cricket blog and updates for the Dessert T20 Challenge. This is the first match of the tournament between Hong Kong and Scotland, and will be played at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi. Eight teams are participating in the tournament and have been divided into two groups, Group A and Group B, each consisting of four teams. The participating teams are Afghanistan, Hong Kong, Ireland, Namibia, Netherlands, Oman, Scotland and UAE.

Hong Kong are coming off a victory in their last match against Kenya and will be confident heading into this match under the captaincy of hard-hitter Babar Hayat. Among the bowlers, there are Nadeem Ahmed, Ehsan Khan and Tanveer Ahmed. Players like Anshuman Rath, Aizaz Khan, Nizakat Khan will be interesting to watch out for. Of their last five matches, Hong Kong have won three, marking a good performance by the team.
