Live Cricket Score, Nepal vs Netherlands, WCQ 2018, 7th place play-off: NED win by 45 runs

Hello and welcome to CricketCountry’s live coverage of ICC World Cup Qualifiers 2018. This is the 7th place playoff which is taking place between Nepal and Netherlands. Nepal enter the confidence with confidence after attaining the ODI status. However, for Netherlands who won the WCL Championship last year and are on 13th spot in the ODI rankings, would have fancied better chances. But now that they find themselves there, it will be a matter of pride, and no little relief, to ensure their patchy performances are behind them. Nepal were ruthless in their bowling against PNG. Sandeep Lamichhane and Dipendra Airee took four wickets each to dismiss their opponents for just 114 in 27.2 overs. This performance came as a booster for them after a mediocre start to the tournament. The batting, though, could use some consistency, with stronger contributions coming from the top order. It is the last game of the competition for both teams, and they’ll be keen to make it a memorable one. With conditions being slow, it will be effective for the spinners. Pleasant weather is on cards.
