Nepal recently played a warm-up match against Pakistanis, which they lost by 121 runs, there were glimpses of some good performances. Skipper Paras Khadka was the most economical bower, conceding just 47 runs and picking up one wicket in Pakistan’s huge total of 326. Even with the bat, though they were never in the game, opener Anil Mandal scored a valiant half-century and Nepal ensured that they did not get bowled out and finished at 205 for 5 against a bowling attack consisting of Mohammad Irfan, Yasir Shah and Wahab Riaz. Oman recently drew a two-day match against United Arab Emirates (UAE) after they finished at 45 for 3, chasing an improbable target of 135 in 7 overs.

Both Oman and Nepal will want to build on their experience in the previous match and perform well here. Oman will be  part of the round robin stage of the Asia Cup in 2016, whereas Nepal recently lost their T20I status after they failed to make it beyond the ICC World t20 qualifiers.
