Hello and welcome to CricketCountry’s live blog for the ICC World T20 2016 warm-up match between New Zealand and England at the iconic Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Saturday. New Zealand have already started their warm-up matches in ICC World T20 2016 while England are set to their play first match. Considering the match was played at Mumbai itself, New Zealand are aware of the conditions in Mumbai after winning the match against Sri Lanka by huge margin of 74 runs. Three boundaries in the 6th over and leading him to 44 already and just 6 runs away from half-century. Nicholls has hardly got an opportunity to take the strike. Ben Stokes comes for attack once again in the 7th over with Williamson and Nicholls rotating the strike and Williamson brings his half-century in style with a six.

New Zealand will bat first against England

After winning the toss on Thursday, New Zealand captain Kane Williamson elected to bat first. Williamson and Martin Guptill gave New Zealand a blistering start. Though Williamson departed on 9, it was Guptill and Colin Munro who kept the scoreboard ticking. At the end of 5 overs, New Zealand were 68/1. Guptill took the Sri Lankan bowlers to the cleaners  and plundered 25-ball 41, including four 4s and one 6. Englad is led by Eion Morgan who has not had a fair start to in T20I this year. Though Alex Hales was prominent for his first century in T20I series against South Africa. With big players like Joe Root, Jos Buttler, Ben Stokes, all-rounder Moeen Ali and bowlers like Reece Topley, Sam Billings and Liam Plunkett England have chances to win their first game.

New Zealand continue their winning momentum in the second warm-up match while England will want get the feel of their first win in ICC World T20 2016.
