New Zealand was beaten soundly in their first warm-up match against Australia on Saturday when they were crushed by Brad Hogg’s bowling.

New Zealand will look to come back to their winning momentum against South Africa in their final hit-out before the Twenty20 World Cup in Sri Lanka.

New Zealand skipper Ross Taylor was the top scorer for the Black Caps.

The Kiwis came back from the Indian tour, where they managed to win the only T20 match played against India. The visitors won by 1 run.

South Africa, who are coming from the English tour, lost the T20 series against England.

Yet, the Proteas will look to challenge the Black Caps, especially after Richard Levi won ICC’s ‘Twenty20 International Performance of the Year’ award for equalling West Indian Chris Gayle‘s record highest score of 117 during the tour of New Zealand earlier this year.

He made the fastest Twenty20 International century of all time (off 45 balls) and also hit the most sixes ever in a T20 innings (13).
