Odisha-vs-Delhi--live-blog-Day-3 (1)

Hello and welcome to CricketCountry’s live coverage of Day 3 of the Group B game of the 2015-16Ranji Trophy between Odhisa and Delhi, live from Bhubaneshwar. After winning the toss, Delhi elected to bat first on a track which is good for batting. Delhi openers started off on a promising note on Day 1 but kept losing wickets on a regular basis. At stumps on Day 2 they were placed at 245 for seven and will resume play on Day 3 from their overnight score. Pradeep Sangwan and Suboth Bhati are unbeaten at the crease at 15 and 5 runs respectively.

Suryakant Pradhan ripped apart the Delhi batsman with his alluring spell of four for 83. Basant Mohanty chipped in with couple of crucial wickets and Deepak Behera had a scalp to his name too. Odisha will look forward to end things as quickly as possible in the morning session of Day 3. Delhi need to pile more 50 odd runs to the current total and give their bowlers a great chance to battle on Day 3. As rain has interrupted the game constantly, it would be interesting to see Delhi skipper Gautam Gambhir’s approach on field. The match is evenly poised at the moment and Delhi bowlers will have a huge role to play in order to steer their team in a dominating position.

Live cricket scores Odisha 195/4 | Overs 67 | Batting: Anurag Sarangi 76(182), Pratik Das 15(52): Odisha have reached to 4 for 195 at the stumps on Day 3. Anurag Sarangi has reached to his fourth First-Class fifty. He is leading Odisha’s charge as they look to gain first innings lead tomorrow. With rain and bad light taking away valuable time from the match, it seems highly unlikely that any result would come out on Day 4. Both the teams are yet to play their second innings. Delhi bowlers would look to restrict Odisha below 311 while Odisha will fight tooth and nail to take lead and earn some points.

Live cricket scores Odisha 175/4 | Overs 57 | Batting: Anurag Sarangi 65(146), Pratik Das 7(26): Odisha are going steadily in pursuit of Delhi’s 311. Anurag Solanki is not out on 65 and is at the moment Odisha’s biggest hope if they are to cross Delhi’s first innings total. He is joined by Pratik Das. There’s not much batting left now and the two will have to play sensible cricket. Delhi skipper Gautam Gambhir has tried five bowlers so far, and only Pradeep Sangwan has got them some success with his two wickets.

OUT! Biplab Samntaray ct Dhruv Shorey b Subodh Bhati 11(34)

Live cricket scores Odisha 140/3 | Overs 47 | Batting: Anurag Sarangi 41(119), Biplab Samntaray 11(29): Odisha are 140/3 at Tea. Anurag Solanki and Biplab Samantaray are steering the ship.

Live cricket scores Odisha 132/3 | Overs 44 | Batting: Anurag Sarangi 38(112), Biplab Samntaray 6(18): Odisha have lost Natraj Bahera, who departed after scoring a fine 62. Anurag Solanki has now been joined by Biplab Samantaray. Delhi bowlers are going for wickets, and that’s a good sign. Unlike Delhi, Odisha are playing more freely, suggesting there’s nothing wrong with the wicket and Delhi had no reason to play an overtly defensive game.

OUT! Natraj Bahera b Pulkit Narang 62(92)

Live cricket scores Odisha 93/2 | Overs 30 | Batting: Natraj Bahera 49(74), Anurag Sarangi 18(64): Odisha are going steady in reply to Delhi’s 311. Post lunch, they’ve lost Govinda Poddar for three. Delhi seamer Pradeep Sangwan dismissed him. One of their best batsmen Natraj Bahera is still out there. He’s batting on 49 and has Anurag Satrangi for company, who’s playing on 18.

OUT! Govinda Poddar ct Pulkit Narang b Pradeep Sangwan 3(15)

Live cricket scores Odisha 36/1 | Overs 1o | Batting: Natraj Bahera 20(30), Govinda Poddar 0(0): In pursuit of Delhi’s 311, Odisha have begun their first innings on a decent note. The opening duo of Natraj Bahera and Rajesh Dhupar added 36 runs for the first wicket before Dhupar was dismissed by Delhi’s first-change bowler Pradeep Sangwan in his very first over. He scored 14 before being dismissed. Govinda Poddar has come at one-down and has joined Bahera.

OUT! Rajesh Dhupar ct Punit Bisht b Pradeep Sangwan 14 (30)

Live cricket scores Delhi 311 | Overs 136.1 | Batting: Pulkit Narang 41(85): Delhi’s innings has come to an end after their last batsman Navdeep Amarjeet Saini has been dismissed for 10. Odisha have done quite well to pull things back and restrict Delhi to a low total considering the fact that the start they got was really good. Suryakant Pradhan gets the bowling honours as he picked up four wickets, while Basant Mohanty and Deepak Bahera take three each.

OUT! NA Saini ct Rajesh Dhuper b Deepak Behera 10(10)

Live cricket scores Delhi 281/9 | Overs 131 | Batting: Pulkit Narang 23(61), NA Saini 0(3): Delhi resumed Day 3 with its overnight score of seven for 245 and lost Subodh Bhati on the same score. Bhati could not add anything to his overnight score of five runs and became Basant Mohanty’s third victim. Pradeep Sangwan then added 36 runs for the ninth wicket with Pulkit Narang before being dismissed by Deepak Bahera for 30. Narang is now battling it out with the last man Navdeep Amarjeet Saini.

OUT! Pradeep Sangwan ct Biplab Samantaray b Deepak Behera 30(71)
