Hello and Welcome to Cricket Countryâs coverage of Day 2 of Pakistanâs three-day tour match against Cricket Australia XI at Cairns. This will be a pink ball match which will be preparation for their day-night match at Brisbane starting on December 15. Pakistan have played just one day-night Test against West Indies at UAE. They won the series comfortably and also won the day-night Test. Australia have played two day-night Test against New Zealand and South Africa at Adelaide recently. They emerged as winners both the times at home. Pakistan have tough task away from home especially with pink-ball Test in place.
Misbah-ul-Haq was back to lead Pakistan in this match, whereas Cricket Australia XI is being led by 23-year-old William Bosisto. Pakistan faced tough time already with the pink-ball as none of the batsmen barring veteran Younis Khan top scored for the side. The second best was their wicketkeeper-batsman Sarfraz Ahmed scoring 39. But it was Cricket Australia XIâs Mark Steketee and Cameron Valente who shared seven wickets to end the Pakistan innings for 208. Cricket Australia XI did begin their innings with a hope to capatilise on their bowling expertise.

However, Pakistanâs Mohammed Aamer shone with the pink-ball and left Cricket Australia XIâs scoreboard reading hat-trick of 0âs. Jimmy Perison, Jake Carder, William Bosisto ended up with golden duck while Jake Winter was the last victim after scoring two runs. Rahat Ali also got a wicket to keep Cricket Australia XI stuttering. At the moment Matthew Short is the lone man playing at 1 with Cricket Australia XI trailing by 205 runs and 6 wickets to spare.
