Hello and welcome to CricketCountry s live coverage of the third day of the ongoing first Test between Pakistan and England at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi on Friday. This is Suraj Choudhari, and I shall be presenting the you the updates from the day s play. England skipper remained unbeaten on 168 to help his side to 290 for 3 at the end of Day Three. He was well supported Ian Bell, who scored 63. Bell was dismissed right at the end of the day’s play. England still trail Pakistan by 233 runs. Mark Wood was sent in as night-watchman, but was dismissed for just four, which brought Joe Root to the crease. Before that, England were given an ideal start by opener Moeen Ali and Cook, who put on 116 for the first wicket. For Pakistan it was Wahab Riaz and Imran Khan with two and one wicket respectively. It can be argued that the pitch was friendly and that there was nothing for bowlers but it is still commendable to play a knock of that length under those hot conditions. Meanwhile, Root is looking primed for a hundred himself and England are closing in on the first innings score of Pakistan.

Pakistani bowlers sweating it out on the field but finding it extremely difficult to break this partnership.

Pakistani bowlers are charged up and will eye to make the utmost use of morning session by picking couple of wickets.England look cautious and are now trailing by 220 runs.

England resumed Day Three on 56 for no loss and that platform paved way for an excellnt opening stand. Pakistan on Day Two declared for a mammoth 523 for 8. Shoaib Malik scored 245 and Asad Shafiq scored 107 to take Pakistan to a huge score. Mohammad Hafeez made a smooth 98 opening the innings for Pakistan.
