Hello folks! Welcome to CricketCountry’s live coverage of the second One-Day International (ODI) between Pakistan and England at Abu Dhabi on Friday. I am Rishad D’Souza, and I will be with you to bring updates and scores of the match. England were in deep trouble In the first ODI, and were 14 for 3 in the fourth over before skipper Eoin Morgan and James Taylor added 133 for the fourth wicket. Sadly for England, the rest of the batting folded up around them, and the visitors were cleaned out for a paltry 216. Mohammad Irfan took 3 for 35, Anwar Ali snared 2 for 32, and Shoaib Malik took 2 for 45, while Yasir Shah ended with 1 for 38. LIVE SCORECARD: Pakistan vs England, 2nd ODI at Abu Dhabi

Azhar Ali tries to reach the ball but ends up dragging it on his stumps with the bottom edge of his bat. Things are getting ugly for Pakistan. Sarfraz Ahmed and Mohammad Rizwan have the responsibility to bail Pakistan out of trouble. Pakistan desperately needs a big partnership. The match is more or less over for them now. They should strive to go over by over rather than looking at the big target of 284. OUT! Azhar Ali b Woakes 22(45)

Live Cricket Score Pakistan 46/4 | Overs 17| Target 284 | Batting: Azhar Ali 21(42):  Shoaib Malik tries to pull Woakes but he is caught at midwicket by Taylor. The shot was not well executed and the timing wasn’t right either. Pakistan are now tottering on 46 for the loss of four wickets. They need 238 runs to win off 198 balls from here on, with just six wickets in hand. Pakistan requires a partnership or else this match will be over for them soon. OUT! Shoaib Malik c Taylor b Woakes 13(25)

Live Cricket Score Pakistan 24/3 | Overs 11 |Target 284 | Batting: Azhar Ali 13 (31): Pakistan find more trouble with the opening over of Chris Woakes. Iftikhar Ahmed perishes in attempt to taking him on and falls for a scratchy 21-ball five. It is important for them to build  a partnership here or the match is as good as lost. OUT! Iftikhar Ahmed 5(21) c Willey b Woakes

Live Cricket Score Pakistan 11/2 | Overs 6 | Target 284 |Batting: Iftikhar Ahmed 0 (3), Azhar Ali 5 (19): David Willey is all over Pakistan at the moment. He’s taken the big fish Mohammad Hafeez for a eight-ball duck. He’s bowled fantastically. Reece Topley has bowled fairly well but still awaits reward. OUT! Mohammad Hafeez 0(8) c Buttler b Willey

Live Cricket Score Pakistan 9/1 | Overs 4 | Target 284 |Batting: Mohammad Hafeez 0 (7), Azhar Ali 3 (11): Ideal start for England. Same can’t be said about Babar Azam’s international career. He’s been dismissed by DAvid Willey leg before and hawk eye confirms that the ball would have crashed into the stumps. OUT! Babar Azam 4(6) lbw Willey

Live Cricket Score England 283/5 | Overs 50 | Batting: James Taylor 9 (8), Moeen Ali 2 (2): That’s that for England. Not the most brilliant finish but the bowling at the death was fantastic. Wahab Riaz was fantastic despite his sore ankle and Mohammad Irfan was almost as good. They helped restrict England to well below 300 which is a psychological victory. OUT! Joe Root 63(77) b Wahab Riaz, OUT! Jos Buttler 10(11) b Riaz, OUT! Eoin Morgan 29(29) c Babar Azam b Irfan

Live Cricket Score England 216/2 | Overs 39 | Batting: Joe Root 49 (59), Eoin Morgan 0 (1): Alex Hales has been stumped at the dawn of the death over period but Pakistan must keep their celebrations short as Eoin Morgan has come out to bat. It is crucial for England to capitalise on this solid base.

Live Cricket Score England 200/1 | Overs 37 | Batting: Joe Root 42 (54), Alex Hales 100 (111): It’s the completion of a much deserved hundred for Alex Hales. He has batted very well and Pakistan have to be really worried because now he’s well set and has a hundred to his name so it is a matter of little doubt that Hales is going to unload upon them in these final overs.

Live Cricket Score England 165/1 | Overs 30 | Batting: Joe Root 24 (34), Alex Hales 84 (89): Alex Hales is racing away towards his hundred. He slowed down temporarily after the wicket of Jason Roy but he’s back with added bite. In the 30th over he smashed Yasir Shah for two convoncing sixes to propel himself into the 80s. He has batted very well, it will be a shame if he gets out before his hundred.

Live Cricket Score England 118/1 | Overs 22 | Batting: Joe Root 10 (16), Alex Hales 51 (59): The going is smooth for England despite the dismissal of Jason Roy. Alex Hales has gotten to his fifty and is now settling into a good rhythm with Joe Root at the other end. It is crucial for England that this partnership lasts till at least the late 20th overs.

Live Cricket Score England 103/1 | Overs 18 | Batting: Joe Root 1 (3), Alex Hales 45 (48): Breakthrough! And it’s that man Wahab Riaz again getting rid of a dangerous looking Jason Roy for 54. A lapse of judgement cost Roy as he tried to hit it over mid on but failed to get adequate height on the shot. Joe Root is the next man in. Another wicket at this stage and Pakistan will be right back in this contest. OUT! Jason Roy 54 (57) c Malik b Riaz

Live Cricket Score England 71/0 | Overs 13 | Batting: Jason Roy 35 (40), Alex Hales 32 (38): The England opening pair is now looking ominous. It is crucial for Pakistan to make a breakthrough before they reach their highest point of comfort because both these batsmen are brutal hitters when on song.

Live Cricket Score England 40/0 | Overs 9 | Batting: Jason Roy 21 (29), Alex Hales 18 (25): It’s good going for England now. The batsmen are starting to time the ball better. They have dealt with all bowlers quite impressively so far except the odd close calls. Pakistan will want to make that opening breakthrough soon now since both these batsmen can be explosive.

Live Cricket Score England 18/0 | Overs 5 | Batting: Jason Roy 9 (16), Alex Hales 9 (14): England will take this over the start they had in the first match but that is not to say that it has been the most convincing today. Mohammad Irfan and Anwar Ali have bowled to the plan and managed to cause a few troubles.

Live Cricket Score England 9/0 | Overs 2 | Batting: Jason Roy 9 (12), Alex Hales 0 (0): England are off to a rather cautious start and understandably so after the disastrous start they had in the first match with the bat. Roy in the first two overs has already bettered his score from the previous match by nine runs and has struck two opportunistic boundaries. They have to focus on getting a good opening partnership going.

TOSS: England have retained their playing XI, and have elected to bat vs Pakistan in the second ODI at Abu Dhabi. Pakistan have made two changes in their playing XI.
