Paksitan and New Zealand face-off in the first of the two T20-internationals at the Dubai Sports Complex in Dubai. After a hard-fought Test series that ended in a 1-1 draw, both the teams are running high on confidence as they look to test themselves out in the shortest format of the game.

Pakistan will see return of Umar Gul and Wahab Riaz in the team. Gul is making a comeback to Paksitan ODI and T20I team after he last played in the ICC World Twenty20 earlier this year.

New Zealand on the other hand have got in Kane Williamson to captain the T20 side in the absence of Brendon McCullum, who has returned to New Zealand. The Kiwis will also miss the two pace spearheads — Trent Boult and Tim Southee.

Although, this is not the perfect moment to focus on the T20 cricket, it is an opportunity for both teams to draft in few ODI players in the line-up before the ICC World Cup 2015.
