This is the final day of the second Test between New Zealand and Pakistan and this is where you will get all the live updates of the match. The second Test is being played at Seddon Park in Hamilton. New Zealand set a formidable target of 369 as Ross Taylor made a thumping entry in Test cricket with his superb unbeaten knock of 102. Taylor, whose left-eye vision was scarred, was cleared to play in the Test two days before. New Zealand declared at 313 for 5 on Day Four and Pakistan ended the day’s play at 1 for no loss. LIVE CRICKET SCORECARD: Pakistan vs New Zealand, 2nd Test at Seddon Park, Hamilton

Pakistan are striving hard to maintain their No. 2 Test ranking while New Zealand are coming with a series loss against India, looking to move from the No. 7 position. Taylor’s trademark cut to boundary landed him to his 15th Test century. New Zealand earlier received heads up with Tom Latham’s welcome score of 80 along with Kane Williamson’s 42. Pakistan received early breakthrough when they dismissed Jeet Raval for 2 when New Zealand were on 11. Latham and Williamson fell ahead of the tea break while Henry Nicholls and Colin de Grandhomme were dismissed post tea interval for 26 and 32 each.

Taylor faced rough patch against India in the recently concluded series as well as the first Test against Pakistan. However, Taylor played with ease despite his vision problems as he opened his account with boundary added 16 boundaries at the end of the innings. Taylor was survived on 16 to what could have been an unachievable knock. He was lucky for the second time when he was dropped on 41 by Sami Aslam. Pakistan’s wicketkeeper-batsman Sarfaraz Ahmed was found active on the field with his athletic skills and picked Williamson breaking a 96-run stand between him and Latham. New Zealand are aiming for a draw as they head into the final day of the Test. Losing a day due to the rains, New Zealand managed to add 271 runs for the first innings. Raval added commendable fifty while it BJ Watling’s unbeaten 49 that majorly contributed to the team’s score. Taylor then, managed to add just 37 runs. Sohail Khan and Imran Khan have been effective with the ball with the former bagging 4 and Imran 3 to bundle on New Zealand soon.

Pakistan’s ace pacer Mohammed Aamer got two wickets while Wahab Riaz ended with a solitary wicket. In response, New Zealand were reeling with Tim Southee’s 6-wicket haul coupled with Neil Wagner’s three crucial wickets.  Pakistan’s Babar Azam and Sarfraz Ahmed were the only top-scorers knock of 90 and 41 respectively. Only a miraculous innings from the opening batsmen Azhar Ali and Aslam can help Pakistan win the series, who are playing at 0 and 1 respectively.
