But Pakistan will be reasonably happy with their performance, having scored 124 runs, but have lost three wickets along the way. Babar Azam will be the key batsman for Pakistan from here and will hope that the last two batsmen give him some sort of support. Wahab Riaz was earlier dismissed for a duck off Colin de Gramhomme. Sohail has scored at an excellent pace and the partnership between him and Azam has gone past 50. This is an excellent partnership, especially after Sarfraz and Azam too put on a good stand. New Zealand lead as a result has now been reduced to under 100.

I am Pramod Ananth, and I will be bringing to you all the live updates from today’s action. New Zealand finished Day 2 on a perfect high, as they were successful in getting rid of Pakistan’s five top batsmen, as Pakistan are reeling on 76 for the loss of five in the first innings, as they challenge New Zealand’s first innings score of 271, while they trail the hosts by 195 runsFULL CRICKET SCORECARD: Pakistan vs New Zealand, 2nd Test at Hamilton

Pakistan ended Day Two of the second Test at Seddon Park, Hamilton, against New Zealand in a precarious position of 76 for 5. They trail New Zealand by 195 runs with 5 wickets in hand. Pakistan find themselves in deep trouble after Tim Southee and Neil Wagner piled on the misery. Southee was sensational in his first spell, picking up three wickets. Wagner came on a bit later and picked up a couple of wickets off consecutive deliveries. This was after New Zealand had earlier been bowled out for 271.

Opener Jeet Raval cashed in on a couple of lives and scored his second Test fifty in as many matches, while wicketkeeper BJ Watling was left stranded on 49. Sohail Khan was the pick of the bowlers for Pakistan, finishing with figures of 4 for 99. He was well supported by Imran Khan (3 for 52) and Mohammad Aamer (2 for 59).
