Sri Lanka‘s hopes against Pakistan were revived by strong performances form Angelo Mathews and Dinesh Chandimal on day 4 of the first Test match played at Abu Dhabi. Angelo Mathews remains not out on 117 and Chandimal made 89.
Earlier, Pakistan were dismissed for 383 runs in their first innings in reply to Sri Lanka’s score of 204. Younis Khan and Misbah-ul Haq made centuries in the first innings. For Sri Lanka, Shaminda Eranga was the top performer by taking three wickets. The left-arm spinner Rangana Herath also picked up three crucial wickets in Pakistan’s first innings.
