Unbeaten batsmen Angelo Mathews and Prasanna Jayawardene look to take Sri Lanka to stability after they struggled on Day One of the third Test to reach 220 for five against Pakistan at Sharjah.
Saeed Ajmal took 2 for 62 to leave Sri Lanka struggling at 166 for five before Mathews (24) and Jayawardene (28) saw off the day with a 54-run unfinished stand on a spin-friendly Sharjah stadium pitch. Sri Lanka gave a Test cap to spinner Dilruwan Perera in place of paceman Nuwan Pradeep in this test.
