Live-Blog-Pak-WIGood Morning! Hello and welcome to CricketCountry’s live coverage of Day Two of the 2nd of the three-Test series between Pakistan and West Indies, at Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi. I am Rohan Sawant and I will bring you all the live updates of this crackerjack of contest. Yeah, I know it’s Test cricket and how on earth did I called it a crackerjack. Well, if Misbah-ul-Haq is still at the crease, Test cricket will never fall short of entertainment. And we, journalists, will never fall short of long pieces. Well, #TeamMisbah is what we root for these says. FULL CRICKET SCORECARD: Pakistan vs West Indies, 2nd Test at Abu Dhabi

All the same, Day One of the second Test belonged Pakistan. Not a surprise, I know. But the way West Indies fought in the first Test, they were expected to put up a good fight. That did not happen so, as Pakistan scored 304 for 4 at the end of Day One. Misbah unhesitatingly opted to bat first and the decision worked in his favour. However, they had a dodgy start with the triple-centurion Azhar Ali dismissed on a duck. To make matters worse, Sami Aslam went for 6. The scorecard read 42 for 2. The onus was then on Asad Shafiz and Younis Khan to provide the impetus.

The duo added 87 runs for the third wicket, before Shannon Gabriel cleaned Shafiz up with a peach of a delivery on 68.

All the same, that did not stop the staggering Younis from reaching the three-figure mark. He, as a matter of fact, was out of the first Test due to dengue. Though Pakistan won the match, his presence was felt during the collapse in the second innings. Also read: Younis: Thanks to doctors and medical staff who took my care during my Dengue illness

Nonetheless, Younis made full use of the opportunity and scored his 33rd hundred. Along with Misbah, he added 175 runs for fourth wicket.

However, Younis was dismissed at the end of Day One on 127, inclusive of 10 fours and a six. Meanwhile, Misbah stayed unbeaten on 90, looking to score his 11th Test hundred.

What an icon he has been for Pakistan for the past decade, winning matches against the top-drawer Test teams. In addition, his maiden at Lord’s in his very first attempt earlier this year is still etched in our memory. Well, the year 2016 has not ended and we still have a lot in store.

It has become quite obvious. Younis and Misbah, when in whites, rarely fail to display their best. These two stalwarts, for that matter, time and again emulate their genius, proving that age is just a number.

Well, let’s see how Day Two pans out, for Misbah is still at the crease.
