  • 4:11 AM IST

That is it for the day!

  • 3:42 AM IST

West Indies have pulled back things here. The wicket of Younis and Babar has kind of applied brakes to Pakistan scoring. Shannon Gabriel and Alzarri Joseph are bowling real-good asking Asad Shafiq and Misbah questions regularly!

  • 3:18 AM IST

Shannon Gabriel is doing the trick for West Indies. he has cleaned u the well-settled Babar Azam. Played on. The ball nipped back in and caught him in an awkward situation. He tried to get his bat down but the pace and the bounce did the trick. Inside edge and the stumps were rattled!

  • 3:13 AM IST

The 131 runs stand has finally broken and Misbah has walked out join Babar Azam!

  • 3:12 AM IST

Younis Khan is out! The big man has gone back on 58. Shannon Gabriel has got the big breakthrough for West Indies. It was a full outside off delivery which Younis drives, but Kraigg Brathwaite takes a neat catch at cover region.

  • 2:53 AM IST

They both have put up 126 runs off 282 balls and are taking the game away from West Indies

  • 2:53 AM IST

Babar Azam too, has a golden chance to score his maiden Test hundred! And what occasion will that be for him!

  • 2:52 AM IST

And the way he is batting right now, he is 100% poised to score big one from here!

  • 2:51 AM IST

What a day this is for Pakistan cricket. A true legend has Younis Khan – 10,000 runs – The first player from Pakistan. 13th in the list – Oldest of them all and many more such records broken today by him!

  • 2:46 AM IST

What a day Younis Khan is having. He has scored his 33rd Test fifty!

  • 1:31 AM IST

  • 1:27 AM IST

Slowly and steadily Younis Khan and Babar Azam have steadied the Pakistan ship. They have now put up a 60-run stand for the 3rd wicket in almost 30 overs.

  • 1:10 AM IST

  • 1:00 AM IST

Pakistan are paying it real easy. Babar Azam and Younis Khan do not look in any hurry to score runs. They have been very defensive taking singles in between. No risks involved, nor any rash shots played. Maybe they are going for the silent kill!

  • 12:37 AM IST

Babar Azam finally frees his arms. A huge six over midwicket off Bishoo!

It was little on the shorter side and Babar got down on one knee clearing the midwicket region with ease. Also there was no fielder there, so was a safe plot! A SIX

  • 12:33 AM IST

The last boundary came in in the first session. It was the 18th over when Babar Azam drilled it through extra-cover off Holder!

This is how tight West Indies have kept since then. Their bowling has been very disciplined. Wicket-to-wicket stuff!

  • 12:31 AM IST

  • 12:28 AM IST

The weather conditions are pretty clear – overcast actually. But it definitely does not look like the day will have complete 90 overs as the light may start deteriorating soon as the second session progresses! 🙁

  • 12:22 AM IST

Devendra Bishoo has been brought into the attack from one end with Alzarri Joseph from the other. Both batsmen look completely calm and are content letting the ball nestle into wicketkeeper’s gloves. Not taking any risks at the moment because a wicket or 2 here and Pakistan might just get in a ery tight spot!

  • 12:14 AM IST

He has got off the mark finally. Younis Khan has taken 19 deliveries to get off the mark!

  • 12:12 AM IST

  • 12:08 AM IST

  • 11:52 PM IST

Younis Khan is yet to get off the mark in this innings. He has played 12 deliveries but not a single run as off yet. This is not the Younis we have seen all these years. He usually likes to rotate the strikes with singles and doubles if not in boundaries.

Hello and Welcome to CricketCountry’s coverage of Day Three of the first Test between Pakistan and West Indies at Sabina Park, Jamaica. I am Rohan Sawant and I will bring you the live updates of this match. Rain played spoilsport for most parts of Day Two. But Mohammad Aamer made headlines for scalping a five-wicket haul. West Indies skipper Jason Holder is fighting a lone battle, batting on 55 off 69. He lost Devendra Bishoo for 28 off 58 and Alzarri Joseph fell for a duck, which enabled Aamer to compete his five-wicket haul. Rain is expected to pay a major role once again. If play resumes today, Pakistan will knock to knock over the only wicket as early as possible. FULL CRICKET SCORECARD: Pakistan vs West Indies 2017, 1st Test at Jamaica

Pakistan made a good beginning to the match, having reduced West Indies to 71 for 5 at one stage. But Roston Chase and wicketkeeper Shane Dowrich put on 118 for the sixth wicket to ensure West Indies did not collapse to a low score.
