I am Rohan Sawant, and I will be bringing all the posts of this exciting clash. Both sides will be playing four T20Is, three ODIs and three Tests, starting from March 26, Sunday. However, the last time these sides played was in UAE, where Pakistan clean swept the visitors in T20Is as well as ODIs. And in the Tests, the series ended 2-1 in their favour as well. West Indies have picked big players such as Kieron Pollard, Sunil Narine, Lendl Simmons and Samuel Badree for the shortest format. However, their star batsman and universe boss Chris Gayle, who has not played international cricket since the 2016 World T20, did not make the cut. Dwayne Bravo’s hamstring injury and Andre Russell’s ban keeps them out of action as well. Simmons, however, has not played for West Indies since featuring in the two-match T20I series against India last August. Meanwhile, Pakistan, who are caught amidst the spot-fixing controversies, announced the squad for the T20 side following their training camp at Lahore.
Sarfraz Ahmed will lead the side in T20Is as well as ODIs. Kamran Akmal, Ahmed Shahzad and Sohail Tanveer have made comeback in the 16-member squad. Mohammad Irfan, Sharjeel Khan and Khalid Latif have been excluded following the spot-fixing row.
Former ODI captain Azhar Ali has been dropped from shorter format following his poor performance in the five-ODI series against Australia
