However, MP ensured the former doesn’t end up doing ruining their chnaces in the ongoing match when Ishwar Pandey dismissed him for just 22 runs in the 57th over. Yuvraj Singh who had smashed 150-plus in the previous game did not repeat that innings as he was out for a 23-ball 6. From here, Punjab trail by 140 runs with five wickets in hand.

Resuming at 251 for 5, Aditya Shrivastava (131 in 315 balls, 10 fours, 1 six) and Rameez Khan (66 in 130 balls, 7 fours, 1 six) took the score to 309, adding a crucial 106 for the sixth wicket. There was some support from Ankit Sharma, Pandey hit 2 sixes off the 13 balls he faced, and Madhya Pradesh reached 370, with Ladda (5 for 110) and Pargat (3 for 108) getting the wickets.

Manan Vohra (32 in 59 balls, 5 fours) and Jiwanjot Singh (64 in 138 balls, 10 fours) set off in hot pursuit, adding 58 for the opening stand. Jiwanjot then added another 94 with Kaul (55 not out in 100 balls, 5 fours). Jalaj Saxena and Ankit Sharma bowled 38 of the 56 overs between them, and took the only wickets to fall. They will hope the match goes till the fourth innings.
