Harbhajan Singh’s absence means that Yuvraj Singh is leading powerful Punjab side against a significantly weaker Railways unit. Punjab are in firm control at 235 for 2 at stumps with Mandeep Singh unbeaten on 100 and Uday Kaul 92 not out. Yuvraj has not even come in to bat yet. Manan Vohra and Jiwanjot Singh were out early, but with the likes of Yuvraj, Gurkeerat Singh, Gitansh Khera, and the rest still to come, Punjab will be aiming for a 400-plus total. Railways have a huge task ahead of them.They must try to contain the explosive Mandeep and Uday, with a run-hungry Yuvraj still to come. Yuvraj will be especially keen on trying for one final boost to try and push for a spot in India’s T20I side with the upcoming ICC World T20 2016 around the corner. He last played for India in the final of the 2014 World T20, where his slow batting in the final restricted India to a middling score. Khera is also closing on to his hundred.
