Hello and welcome to CricketCountry’s live coverage of Day two of the Group B game of the 2015-16 Ranji Trophy between Railways and Tamil Nadu, live from Karnail Singh Stadium, Delhi. Day one totally belonged to Tamil Nadu. Railways won the toss and asked Tamil Nadu to bat first. Riding on a brilliant unbeaten century by middle-order batsman B Indrajith, Tamil Nadu made 288 for six at the end of the first day. B Indrajith struck 21 beautifully timed boundaries in his knock. Tamil Nadu will certainly like to get past 400 today. The task is tough since they are running into tailenders but since Railways bowlers looked totally down and out yesterday, getting to 400 is not that difficult. B Indrajith and Malolan Rangarajan are at the crease. Today, Rangarajan’s main job should be to give Indrajith maximum strike and let him do most of the scoring. Except Anureet Singh, none of Railways bowlers posed any danger to Tamil Nadu yesterday. Hence, both Indrajith and Rangarajan have to remain wary of Anureet and score only on lose deliveries. Aswin Crist is next in batting order, so there is not much batting left. Hence, it is crucial for Tamil Nadu that Indrajith and Rangarajan’s partnership grows today which already fetched their team 30 runs on day one.
