The fifth game of the tournament after the rescheduling, which happened due to incessant rains, is being played between Rangpur Riders and Khulna Titans at Shere Bangla National Stadium, Mirpur, Dhaka. Here you will get all the live updates of the fifth game of this exciting tournament. The game is expected to be a thriller as both the teams have some big names in their squad. Naeem Islam will lead the Rangpur Riders franchise while Mahmudullah will be captaining the Khulna Titans side. The third day of the tournament will have just a solitary match, with the game starting at 6.25 PM IST. Veteran Pakistani player Shahid Afridi, new Pakistani batting sensations Sharjeel Khan and Babar Azam, Bangladesh’s star batsman Soumya Sarkar, Afghanistan’s hard-hitting wicket-keeper batsman Mohammad Shahzad and Sri Lankan duo of Sachithra Senanayake and Dasun Shanaka will form the crux of the Rangpur Riders side.

On the other hand, the Khulna Titans side, which won a nail-biter tournament opener on Wednesday, will rely a lot on their skipper Mahmudullah. He was instrumental in their three-run win over Rajshahi Kings. He first top-scored with 21-ball 32, that helped his team post 133 for 8, and later ended with figures of 2-0-6-3 to clinch the match for his team as well as the Man-of-the-Match award. Riki Wessels played a good hand as well, by scoring 32. In bowling department, Pakistani pacer Junaid Khan picked up four wickets and along with Mahmudullah and Shafiul Islam, helped Khulna get over the line.

The team will look for an encore of the same performance against Rangpur, who will look up to the likes of Afridi, Sarkar, Shahzad and Shohag Gazi for inspiration. The tournament, which is in its fourth edition now, will be serving as an ideal platform for the budding talents to showcase their skills on the grand stage and rub shoulders with some of the biggest names in international cricket. Each team will earn two points on every win and a total of four teams will make it to the elimination round. The bottom three teams will be disqualified from the seven-team tournament.
