Hello and welcome to live updates of Day Two of the ongoing Ranji Trophy 2017-18 season. With no telecast readily available, we, at CricketCountry, will provide live scores as well as intriguing posts of the 84th season here. Day One saw quite a few teams fail and others shine in the battle of domestic supremacy.

The day largely belonged to the bowlers, but it was Himachal Pradesh’s Prashant Chopra who spoiled fun for the opposition. Continuing his good form this year, Chopra stroked a fine unbeaten 271*, and will be eager to reach the 300-run mark. Apart from Chorpa, his teammate Sumeet Verma, Madhya Pradesh’s Devendra Bundela, Bengal’s seasoned pair of Manoj Tiwary and Sudip Chatterjee, and Team Rajashtan’s Robin Bisht starred with bat.

Amongst bowlers, Andhra’s Bhargav Bhatt, Kerala’s Jalal Saxena, Delhi’s skipper Ishant Sharma provided impetus.

Saxena became the first bowler to bag a fifer in this season, while Sumeet became the first centurion of the 2017-18 edition.

Group A tie between Hyderabad and Maharashtra did not start at Hyderabad. Also, Group C match between Odisha and Tripura was abandoned without a bowl being delivered at Cuttack.
